Just bought one on FB Marketplace. Loaded with 64GB RAM and 2x1TB drives. Super clean. Had to reinstall windows because previous install was on the SSD not the M.2 which is much faster. Very happy with this big boy.

I just picked up one of these refurbished on the Walmart website. Very well refurbished and was only $300 and that includes tax and shipping. The version I got came with 32gbs (2x16gb in dual channel) and a 512gb m.2. But what is really cool is that it includes a Nvidia Quadro M2200 (4gb) video card. The i7 6th gen CPU is dated, but for $300, for what you get is insane as just a simple backup laptop. And as already pointed out, this is a workstation laptop with 4 SO-DIMM RAM slots, the video is wrong. Its a real pain to access them, you need to dig deeper, but you could pump this up to 64gbs of DDR4 4x16gb. Depending on your needs. But 32gbs should be plenty for most. The 512 m.2 is fine for boot and I added a 2tb 2.5 SSD that you can purchase for $80. So this is a great pickup as long as you buy certified refurbished. You wanna make sure you get it from a good retailer that is licensed. Mine even included a 2 year warranty, which is also pretty crazy. So if you want an all purpose laptop, this is a great pickup. As it's so customizable hardware wise. Nowadays they are soldering down RAM, this laptop allows you to remove and replace the graphics card. So just thought I would chime in. This device DEFINITELY HAS 4 slots for RAM. To get to the other 2 slots, you will need to remove the keyboard.

As already mentioned by other here. There is four RAM slots, the other two are under the keyboard. This is also true on 7720 modell where you also mentioned there sometimes is. In this serie there is slots under the keyboard.

I assume most people watching would already know this, but just in case. Currently Thunderbot technology is not where it should be, and you should not spend the ridiculous amount of money needed to install a portible uGPU into a laptop and expect good performance. This is taking a normal desktop GPU, for example a RTX 3070 or something, then buying a mobile enclosure for it, that then allows you to put it into the Thunderbolt port of a laptop. First, most enclosures are very expensive and very poor quality. Second, even if everything is setup perfect, you are still going to be losing a minimum of 60% of your GPUs overall power by attempting this. It's a horrible idea. So just consider that before spending the money, by all means, do your own research first, but at present, the technology is just not where it needs to be to pull things like this off. Otherwise, solid laptop. I was looking at these refurbished on eBay today. A couple of them even came with 2 year AllState warranties included standard. Which is fairly rare for refurbished laptops. So that says good things.

Remove all the screw first and then slide up and push at the same time, this will not work if you have a screw you missed.

Berozgaar $700 for the whole machine. I just bought mine from eBay :) They are selling a lot of work place machines right now for cheap. Make sure to check the pictures and descriptions. Individual parts check crucial.com.

Why are you refering to this as a gaming system? Yeah you can swap the MXM card out to something else GTX but it's a PITA and require moddedd Drivers.
