I experienced this while replacing a screen, I forgot to remove battery & fuse was blown... Afterwards it was a thumb rule, always remove battery while removing/attaching screen cable

You should have straightened the back plate from display case, does not look good! The rest is perfect!

Sure, But what if the back cover breaks during dent removal... Was not part of the job, so i did not want to take the risk. Regards

Hi. Thanks for the video. I have had this issue for a few weeks now. Same symptoms. I just checked the fuse and it’s dead. Can you please put a link to the fuse? Thanks.

unfortunately i can't recall, but iirc the only time where i got a long code like that, was in the beginning (RAM issue, was dirty)

From my experience the Dell Precision series is very reliable compared to usual consumer devices and here in Germany you get 1 year of warranty in any case if you buy a used/refurbished item from a business seller anyway. However, there is no question that a used/refurbished device has a significant higher chance to fail than a new one, but it is a hard decision and need to consider a few economical aspects. In my opinion a devices has done its job very good when it served you 6 years or even more. Best regards

Sorry, can't remember about the abilities of the Laptop anymore, but a Software based Raid1 or Raid0 should be normally possible

Hello from Kazakhstan! I have the same laptop. SSD NVME can only be supplied with a capacity of up to 2 terabytes. RAM can be supplied up to 128 gigabytes at 2666 megahertz or 64 gigabytes at super speed 3200 megahertz. I am personally happy with the Dell 7540 laptop. The only thing I also want to replace is the display matrix, as it is only 46% NTSC.

@@ДидарИмаханов hey man, thank you for the answer! I just checked the Crucial's official website and they told that we can use 4tb Crucial ssd as well, what do you thing about that? 🤔

@ I read in the date sheet pdf from dell that the 7540 laptop only supports up to 2 terabytes. But I haven't checked it personally. I only have 512 gigabytes so far, I’ll replace it soon

@ The good news is that our laptop has three slots for NVME SSD. Gaming laptops usually only have two at most.
