Just picked one of these up. So good. Didn't notice much backlight bleed despite reading reviews complaining about that. Really enhanced my workflow as both a software developer and music producer.

Excellent review! I've been searching for a review like this for months and still considering a 4k monitor 27 or 32 inches until I find this review. Thank you so much for the review. Your ppi analysis and comparison is what I needed. Now I have a lot of confidence to purchase a 32-inch monitor without worrying about letters and contents appearing too small or too big on the screen.

I've had two of these for about 2 years now (got them back when they were "only" $750), mounted on a sit-stand desk, and absolutely love them for software development and photography work. They are also alright for gaming if you don't need high refresh rates. They are bright enough to not be washed out in a brightly lit room with windows behind me.

great video. I like the way you speak btw. but is it too big for the (Length 120cm X Depth 60cm) desk? I've been researching this and U2720Q model. Mostly I use the monitor for Graphic design, photo-editing, and media consumption. Also, I play console gaming. but not serious. Any suggestion?

What does it mean to be a "productivity nerd"? Do you mean you geek out about things that might improve your feelings of being productive, or that you genuinely obsess over maximizing productivity every minute of every day? I'm finding there's a current trend of the former, people who say they're obsessed with productivity, but what they really mean is they just want to design a cool space, get an MX Master mouse, get some Grovemade products, get a fancy to-do list, and claim that they're now hyper-productive.

I was considering this, but I saw LG 32UN880 which is kinda have the same specs, but much cheaper and it comes with ergo stand.

Hey there Sam, great review. Now purchased two of these myself and they're great. I believe the U3219Q cannot be daisy-chained so wondering how you have your MBP and monitors connected?

This is really helpful especially the part about non integer scaling NOT looking good for a non-graphics expert. My eyesight isn’t great - have had to start using glasses while using the computer. Do you scale up VS Code? I think this configuration could work well if I scaled up VS Code and the browser a bit.

Rtings says this monitor has PWM flicker. Do you notice this at all? Or do you run the brightness at 100% all the time?
@technologetic3 жыл бұрын
That was actually something holding me back. Particularly as this kind of thing can show up on video. But I haven’t noticed it at all, and you can’t tell on video at any shutter speed

I already have one of these monitors and love it. I'm thinking of getting another one, but unsure how it would all connect together. I currently run the USB-C to my laptop, and then the DisplayPort and KVM cable to my PC. I switch between PC and laptop all the time and want to retain this functionality. My laptop has 2x USB-C ports, I wonder If I could just use the USB-C from both monitors straight into my laptop (so via two USB-C cables) and then have 2x DisplayPort and 2x KVM USB cables going into my PC. Any idea if this would work? I know I would have to swap input sources individually on each monitor, which is fine.

I have a similar question. Did you end up getting the second one and connecting it alright? I’ve got only a 2018 MacBook Pro for now, was wondering how would I connect both

what are the dimensions of this monitor - I can't find them anywhere; I mean, at maximum, how many centimetres is it lowered on the stand?
@fred_20212 жыл бұрын
These figures are from a vendor's ad. It means the stand raises the monitor's bottom edge to a minimum of 204mm, with the top edge being at 618mm With stand: 28.1 x 24.3 x 8.7" / 712.5 x 618.1 x 220.0 mm Without stand: 28.1 x 16.3 x 1.8" / 712.5 x 414.5 x 44.5 mm Screen Area: 27.45 x 15.44" / 697.3 x 392.2 mm

Does anyone know why Dell doesn't combine two of these into a Super Ultra wide single monitor?
@fred_20212 жыл бұрын
The downside that comes to mind is field of view/viewing angle. If it were flat, I can imagine bad ergonomics difficulties. Even if it were curved, I still get a pain in the neck just thinking about the 57" diagonal. Speaking for myself, I have 2 x Dell S2721DGF, positioned exactly like these monitors in the video, and it's my idea of perfect for multitasking. Also, being 108ppi and 165Hz, the only downside is that gaming is far too addictive :)
