GREAT brand & Monitors, I bought DELL monitor with Desktop 10 years ago still kicking ass & monitor looks like the same i bought decade ago , absolute #1 comes to other brands like died on me & had issues year after like Samsung or LG ..my next one would be DELL Computer & Monitor is something is very dependable & reliable , I'm kinda waiting for NEW Alienware Monitors on Jan ...looks like f*n kick ass monitors specially on that 32" QLED 4K on January & i had Alienware monitors before is really nice solid built is also by DELL 2

Nice review. One small mistake: the two HDMI ports are not 2.0 but he more modern 2.1 version. This is one of the reasons why i think that it is more modern then its big brother, the U4021QW. Disadvantage of HDMI 2.0 versus 2.1 ports would be that the refresh rates are lower with 2.0 ports.

One small correction, you must be used to expensive VA panels that have contrast ratio of 4000:1 in which case your assessment of it being roughly 30% better than a regular IPS is correct but standard VA monitors only have 3000:1 which makes this one 50% better.

Great presentation, but can this monitor be used for music production. I was looking at the LG ultra wide curved.

Internal PSU. Dell. PSU dies after warranty expires no repair service. Main reason I prefer external power supplies, if anything breaks it's the PSU.

What are talking about? Hasn't this been the case for the past 18 years? Just recently retired a 16 old monitor. Got 11 Dell monitors around the office

Hello! Great review! How is the text from Notepad++ or Word displayed on the 38 inch monitor? is it clear? Also, a distance about 55-60cm is it ok for this monitor? Thank you :)

Hi there, I'm planning to get 38" ultrawide monitor. Mainly using for gaming e.g. FH5, Watching movies, KZbin, browsing, Ms office programs. Was thinking of getting AW3821DW it was down to 799.99 in Amazon last week, probably will be same for BF or CM. Is there any better options than this Alienware? Thanx.

Hi! Do you know if Netflix for windows lets you watch 4k? I am worried because I’ve compared my 4k oled laptop to my qhd laptop and noticed the difference. I know it used to be fine but I’m worried Netflix stabbed us in the back with a recent update, which would be a shame because this particular monitor has the cinematic 21:9 uhd resolution in the horizontal which is where it kills a 16:9 monitor for letterbox movies

Bit out of my price range but that looks like an ideal monitor! Black friday coming up. Anyone got advice on what 34" ultrawide that I should keep an eye on? I want an ips for coding and webbdesign. About 700€ budget. Usb-c with power delivery would be ideal..
