Excellent Tutorial! Thank you. My Vostros 3700 was over-heating. When I took off the Fan and Heat-sink, I was able to see the old Thermal Compound had dried up, and turned as hard as a rock. Some new Thermal Compound, and a dusting with a Leaf-Blower, and she's running as good as new. Also, threw in a brand new Solid State Hard Drive, and I can't believe how fast she is now. Thank you very much. I have just used this to strip and rebuild my 3700 with new arctic paste. Runs like a beast for a 13 year old laptop ! Now maxed at 70c with cpu stress test, before was 100c !!!!!

Love the tutorial, helped me get a red screen fixed, memory upgrade, HDD to SSD upgrade and a CPU change to an i5-520M, also bought the backlit keyboard, a bit pricey but works great. Cracking Laptop for it’s age, runs much better than most new laptops at sub £500 Going to try getting a hackintosh to work next.

dell has totally stupid design. processor is under the motherboard. i mean what the hell man. just to remove a fan whole laptop needs to disamble. I have disassembled macbook myself without any tutorial, but dell surprised me, stuck lots of steps

Great video. I will give it a try! Having heating issue (used the vacuüm cleaner pressing against the holes trying to clean the dust from the blower) and want to replace CPU i3 to i7 at the same time to boost performance. I have the Vostro 3750.
