For the pen: when using it does your hand interfere with the screen? or is there a way to turn it on pen only mode so that you can rub your hand against the screen without disturbing whatever it is that you are doing with the pen?

Yes. No interference. The pen works with Bluetooth and not touch so when you're using it, it ignores your palms

It's £1669 for 8gb RAM, 512 gb ssd and QHD in the uk! I struggle to find that good value tbh. Adding more RAM and 3 years warranty and it is near £2000. That makes the 13 inch MacBook Pro look a bargain! I bought an m5110 with 512 gb, 32gb ram, Xeon 6th gen and discreet graphics new for £1400 so to say the XPS 13 2 in 1 is value made me choke on my lunch. As for you get 12-14 hours of battery life, well that would be a first in the real world, no way you get 12 hours SOT with this. PC Mark 8 got under 5 hours.

I want the XPS- 2 in 1 but my current laptop which is 5 years old has better specs(1tb hard drive debatable) and was significantly cheaper when I got it. Its annoying RAM is as cheap as fuck but companies always rip you off and the SSD here cant be replaced. Hopefully the second version in new year will be better value.

It might be, but the 2 in 1 version allows people to use it as a tablet display. That can be used for more creative aspects.
