Dell XPS 13 7390: An Ultrabook Contender

I used to run an XPS 13 9370 Developer Edition (Ubuntu) with similar specs. and loved the display, keyboard was pretty good, nose cam was dumbest thing ever. Unfortunately I started having display and mainboard issues right after it went out of maintenance and the repair was way to expensive, colleagues where having similar issues and we went back to Thinkpad's and MacBook's after that.

Great Machine, still own one I bought back in 2019, removed Windows 11, and reinstalled Linux Mint, and never looked back. Peformance, and Heat is so much more manageable with LM.

I had this exact model before I got a bunch of MSI summit 14-MSD2, kept one for me and my wife as do-it-all ultrabooks and I sold the XPS for 350$ on Kijiji, I was asking 400$ but I didn't have any luck, I think it was a great deal for the buyer.

I love Dell XPS screen quality and design. But ThinkPad is everythings for me. ThinkPad keyboard is good and ThinkPad durability is awesome. I was lucky, my thinkpad t460s was able to survived from a fall. Very lucky, the palm rest was dented and the screen didn't break.

One of the reasons I love the X1 Nano is because it had at the time one of the nicest screens you could get on a ThinkPad.

Got lucky with a precision 7710 last weekend for $136 shipped and managed to bring it back from the dead but wowzers did it need a lot of alcohol just to clean it up.

@@LaptopRetrospective Pretty much the whole thing inside and out but so far it is doing nicely. Came with an m5000m and a Xeon E3 1535m v5.
