Getting up on a wakeboard is actually pretty difficult. First time I tried I got up first try behind a jet ski. However, I grew up waterskiing slalom and snowboarding, but I’ve had so many friends struggle with it. It’s not easy especially if you have no experience. You have to let the boat pull you up and be relaxed
