Wait till Story is a little older to buy horses. Like 4. They can understand the danger. Because horses can be VERY dangerous. Even the best trained horse, when scared, can bolt, toss you off Go to a rental stable, get lessons. Then, if the love lasts, buy.

I work with horses for a living. I wouldn’t recommend jumping right into buying one. Start with lessons and then leasing and make sure you’re well educated and can commit to it! ❤

Poor cattle. I think they must feel very stressed during these shows. I don’t really understand why people need to stress animals unnecessarily, just for amusement. Anyhow, Story is a very cute little girl, growing so fast. It is so nice to follow her progress and your whole family on your adventures.🌸🌸

As A equestrian people think riding is easy and this and that. "IT IS NOT EASY AND YOU DONT JUST SIT THERE !!!!" so if you are for real looking at buying/leasing a horse please do your reaserch And get proper riding training.Horses can be dangores even if they are super well trained.I am totally supporting you guys just please make the right disition for your family and for ANY horse!!!

I'm a country girl! Our small town in eastern Oregon (population 586ish) would seriously go less than 600 to thousands of people every 2nd weekend of May! I LOVE rodeos! The boys in my high-school would belonged to the bull riding club! They were awesome too! ....shhhh!! It was the Saddle Bronc Riders that really stole my heart though!😊❤ Anyway, Bella. At first I was like "Heck Yes! Of course you should get a horse! You have a farm! So why not? But a second later I thought about how social horses are! They need companionship. You do have the alpacas and other animals and that's great. But I don't know how happy one horse could be? Especially without a constant human there. Which I don't even know how often you guys are at the farm. You could be there several times a day, everyday for all I know. My point is this...before you go get a horse do research first. You're a wonderfully smart woman! You probably already have researched " owning horses ". If you don't get one now I don't doubt that one day in the future you will! P.S., ya'll looked GREAT!

You guys need to come to the Texas State Fair in October. You will love the food, the midway and the stock shows. Sheep, goats, pigs, horses and steers. Live entertainment every night from country artists and bands. Story would love the petting zoo. You can walk the livestock barns. Milking the cows demonstrations, steers getting ready to show. The kids who show the different animals come from all over the US. They are the top of the top. You guys would have a blast!

Ok as a barrel racer I think buying a horse might not be the best idea for new people so if you would like I would get a low maintenance breed but they can be expensive and dangerous if not train correctly but I do love your channel and have fun at the rodeo

I agree with a previous comment. Don't buy a horse. Go and take lessons. Lease a horse and paddock and learn what it takes. I know you have other animals, but horses take a lot more work. Lots of professional attention also required. My ferrier is my trusted friend, not to mention my vet.

I just found you guys yesterday. Lovely YT channel. You are are wonderful family and Story is adorable. If she loves climbing. Take her Bouldering. I am a Geologist and always up in mountains so did a lot of absailing and climbing and bouldering for fun. I started my kids bouldering at 2yrs.... they love it. In a hall, padded floors, all good. They can do courses to. Great if you don't have much experience yourselves. They learn the safety rules and get tips etc. Both my kids had bouldering birthday parties to, for their 7th bdays because most their friends had never bouldered.. Its a great indoor activity.

My dad was a pro rodeo clown years ago. I grew up with horses so i would wait until story is older before getting a horse especially if she is nervous because horses are very smart and very sensitive and sense when someone is nervous

I think you should buy a Pony first. When I was little we would visit my Uncles horse’s and was a little timid of how big they were. One day he bought a Pony and said it was mine, even let me name him. They are a so sweet and much smaller, my fear was instantly gone. After getting used to him, I was ready to ride. He was always gental and never took off for the Barn after a long ride like all the others. After a few years I was ready to try a full grown horse and have the best memories of my Pony named Cloudy ❤🐴
