My spouse has dementia and has multiple symptoms on the list . He’s currently overeating .. he has exhibited lack of emotions , lack of empathy , lost speech , unable to order from a food menu for extended periods without provocation and encouragement.. the hardest part is when he wants to go somewhere I will get him in the car .. at first he has it in his mind where he wants ..but as soon as I ask where are we going he only gets out the ‘I wanna go to..’ and then he trails off having forgotten where.. I take over and add his favorite spots ‘Costco..? Target ? And then he picks from my prompts .

Yeah. . Im just basically uninterested in things i used to enjoy and im becoming mean and pessimistic.. it started at 58, the behaviors. But im very difficult to get along with Pretty sure it's cte to be honest.. i had years of head trauma.. unfortunately

What about p97/VCP mutations? VCP disease has TDP43 aggregates, lysosome and autophagy alteration, and 30% of patients have FTD, considering the misdiagnosed amount of patients it might be a big part of the unknown FTD.
