I have the DeLonghi Dinamica Plus Tips I've learned (Mostly from Mr. JAMES HOFFMAN, thank you!) and tested to acquire the best espresso (so far): 1. Only dry beans (oily beans clog the espresso machine) 2. No dark roasted beans (they are burnt; usually to hide imperfections) 3. The best taste occurs between 4-14 days from the time they are roasted (this is "resting the coffee" because the beans have to off-gas CO2) 4. To avoid watery espresso, dial a low grind/fine size (1,2,3,4) and fresh beans (before 1 month of roast date), this produces a thicker espresso 5. Lowest grind setting for DeLonghi Dinamica Plus machine is at a "3" (because any lower/finer chokes the machine) Thus, my optimal espresso Latte (iced) configuration is: -Five beans 🫘 (strongest intensity), - small ☕️ or medium size ☕️☕️ cup, -with dry medium-roasted beans, that were -roasted about 1-2 weeks ago -Vanilla Syrup (2 pumps or 1 table spoon for every small shot of espresso) -Half & Half Cream *pour cream until espresso resembles golden camphor burl wood *Add ice

I am glad I found your review. We bought a Nespresso Vertuo last Christmas and tonight I looked and we have spent $1,200 in pods. Now a $1,500 machine doesn’t sound so unreasonable anymore.

Right?! Those pods add up and also limit your options. Glad it was helpful! 💖

My son has one of these machines and i have to agree the Nespresso pods are just to expensive now. and have to be recycled. seems to me what's not to like about this machine especially as i love iced coffee in the Summer. I'm now looking for the best deal. and being able to empty the coffee grouts straight onto the garden

Great review, thank you! Just bought one & trying to figure out how to customize the quantity for the drip coffee? Was hoping I could make twice as much in 1 cup @ a time…have you crossed this?

I am taking my nespresso back for this. The coffee is not warm enough and pods are so expensive. Just have to decide between white and silver. The white is gorgeous but sadly silver probably will go better in my kitchen.

I hope you enjoy it! I liked my Nespresso okay, but I felt so limited with the pods. I ended up choosing to spend all that "pod money" on the front and and get a nicer machine. Very happy with it.

Great review. Can you share your favorite beans for this machine?

Is that "drip coffee" option the only option to make "coffee"? Asking because on the video it seems it might take long time to brew a cup of coffee🤔 Seems like coffee doesn't go continuously to the cup but little by little. Is this how it supposed to work?

It doesn't really make coffee! It makes watered down espresso! The best part of my machine was going to the garage to retrieve my old coffee maker and having a real cup of brewed coffee...

Ah man...That stinks! I think true espresso uses very dark roasted beans.🤔 I agree with you that it is different than drip coffee though. I like it better myself, and I love the foam on top (shown in the video). But yikes, that's a lot of money tied up to not like the coffee.😳 Maybe try to return it or sell it on FB marketplace or something...try to retrieve some value out of it.

I have my eye on one of these machines but I have to wait for my nespresso to break first 😂

Haha, yep, I get it. It took me a while (maybe over a year?) between when I wanted one and when I actually got it.
