Hi Tom, I'm at the verge of getting this model due to your experience and review, thanks for that. It seems that the 380.95 has replaced this model. The max pressure went down to 15 bars from 19. Would this make a difference. Also do you have any 'inside info' due to your experience in the coffee-world on if the espresso is as good on this model? Appreciate your time to put out these videos!

@@heroprodygee The machine looks the same to me. Delonghi just uses a bunch of descriptors for the same model, but sometimes with different colors/trims. They should perform just the same. And neither produces coffee at 15 or 19 bar. That's just confusing. Cheers!

Quick update, I decided to go ahead and buy this machine and have just enjoyed what is probably my 10th coffee so far and it has only been here a few hours at the most lol, I have calmed down now but there are still so many options and bits I want and need to look at. Thanks for your videos and advise and all of the awesome information. Having never owned any machine at all like this before as far as coffee or drinks in general, I think going for this rather than jumping right in at the deeper end with a more expensive model, which I almost did, was the best choice for me, so far I love it but I have to learn the settings, whether I have the grind ok and the beans I am using, the water is ok but the coffee so far tastes beautiful, managed to set a latte already on my profile lol. Definitely a consideration for my wife. Both her and my in-laws, who spend a lot of time with us, love to drink coffee but hate to make it. My wife won't touch the espresso machine either. As of now she uses the nespresso machine and nano foamer but doesn't like it as much since I got an espresso machine. So, something that could get her 90% of the way there but be her go to when I am not home or busy would be great. While I have considered something like the Impress touch, I think that is more work than she wants and not enough manual control for me, lol. Besides, I already have my "toys". Flair, picopresso, bambino plus etc. Thank you for always considering everybody and not just making reviews on one type of machine! It is super helpful.

I am on the same boat as you. D is made in Italy and M in Romania. D uses bigger puck size compared to M. D looks nicer and stronger than M. D's software is older than M and does not have the extra shot function as far as I know (bigger puck size may compensate for that though). The only advantage I would give to M plus is the new software and additional flexibility it gives to user. Having said all of this, I am going to order D Plus today.

I’m a bit annoyed though, as I wanted the profiles with the app to set the different drinks we like, & from my research I thought the plus meant it could connect to the app. I was wrong and the one I ordered doesn’t have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi so I can’t set up different users and I didn’t realise until I’d set it up and had made a load of coffees. Never mind, the coffees seem nice and it foams oat milk ok.

Bought one, I have developed taste for Nordic style roasted single origin coffees because of a coffee shop near by, beans are dense, low-medium roast so harder to extract. Surprisingly this machine have me a great espresso after tweaking a a bit, increased coffee amount, lowered grind size, increased temperature, it is almost the same taste I get in the coffee shop. I was using an eletta cappuccino top before this, but grinder was not doing well after 5 years, and I never did receive flavorful coffee with the same beans. Dinamica is good.

i absolutely love this machine. have had it a year now. the app is a little silly imo unless your changing your coffee setting. you can turn the machine on and off with your app. and brew drinks with it. you cant leave a cup there to brew when you get up because your cup fills with the starter water before the drink is made. so you have to be in the room to brew your coffee anyway. there are instances you can use it. like if its on all day and doesnt need to come on before brewing.

Great reviews, love your channel. In Canada, the Dinamica Plus is double the price of the Magnifica EVO. I've tried the EVO and I am really impressed with the shot, much better than the Philips 5400. I think the EVO has all the drink selections I need, but do you think the Dinamica Plus is worth the upgrade and additional cost?
@TomsCoffeeCorner Жыл бұрын
The biggest advantage in my opinion of the Dinamica over the Magnifica are the larger pucks. But yes, the Magnifica Evo is already much better than the Philips, imho. So, if you're satisfied with the Evo, stick with it. For me, the Dinamica would be worth the upcharge, but it's also not much of a price gap between the two in the EU.
@CechMtl-gm9yq Жыл бұрын
@TomsCoffeeCorner I think the puck size should be the same considering the brew unit in the machines are identical. If you are comparing the dopio option in the Dinamica, then that can be achieved by pressing the 2x button before the espresso on the EVO. I've just tried it and it seems to pull an 80ml shot. Actually, it was overextracted as it came out very slow due to the fresh lighter roast beans I had in the machine. Something the Philips was never capable of doing.

Great review! I'm not much of a "coffee snob" (sorry for using that term, but hopefully you know what I mean), but I do enjoy a nice cup of coffee... I've been using a Keurig for 10 years, and a Tassimo before that (I liked that MUCH better than the Keurig), but admittedly, those don't make good coffee. Now that I'm permanently working from home, I really need something better than the brown water the Keurig gives me. This sounds like it's exactly what I want... And, the thought of being able to make my own flat whites, is a big selling point for me. I got hooked on flat whites, on some business trips to Australia (that was the first time I'd ever heard of then). I also like the idea of buying whole beans and having freshly ground coffee every morning.

I bought this device as new in August 2020. Whit in 6 months, the milk frothing did not work properly anymore so I had to send it in for repair, 3 times before it was repaired properly. Since then it broke down approximately every 6 months. I try to do the repairs myself because it would cost me a lot to have someone to repair it for me. I’ve had a water leak repair, an electro valve repair, a blockage of the milling device due to foreign material in the coffee beans and at this moment I have again a problem with the milk frothing. I ordered a new the frothing nozzle and I am going to try to install it myself. Really not satisfied with this DeLonghi Dinamica Plus ECAM 370.95T. Delonghi gave us a brand new Dinamica to replace a failed refurbished Magnifica. The Magnifica failed in 2 months, and the Dinamica failed after approximately 2.5 years. Normally it would have had a three year warranty, but since it was a warranty replacement Delonghi determined it only had a 6 month warranty which likely leaves us paying out of pocket for a new transmission. We impeccably maintained both machines. The original Starbucks Magnifica we had was comparatively bulletproof! The newer machines build quality is very poor (both the Magnifica and Dinamica). We have multiple friends who’ve had similar reliability problems. For now, we’re using our daughter’s Nespresso Vertuo which is great except pods are ridiculously expensive, and the reliable old grinder and French press! Good luck with any newer Super Automatic!

@@TomsCoffeeCorner yes I honestly can't wait haha! I have splashed out on some freshly roasted beans from a local roastery, bought full fat milk and am fully ready to tinker when it arrives in the morning haha. Awesome review btw. Was out of this and the Elletta. And I don't drink cold coffee, so you convinced me with this one.

Is the Magnifica Evo comparable in terms of the espresso itself?
@TomsCoffeeCorner10 ай бұрын
I find the espresso better on the Dinamica - as it can make larger, more appropriately sized pucks. I've even chocked the machine due to puck size and fineness of grind. Cheers!

Does it make a true americano(espresso + water)?

It does, after brewing you have to move your cup under the hot water sprout.

I found this review to be quite satisfactory. This superautomatic coffee and espresso machine is quite underrated. The Coffee Link app is also easy to use and the other reviews don't feature it enough. Bonus: there is also a coffee pot option if you have multiple guests over that just want a good pot of coffee.
@TomsCoffeeCorner Жыл бұрын
I think it's cool that it offers the coffee pot feature - I wonder how often that's used? Since I just make coffee for my wife and I, it's not a feature I have tested yet, but it could be good when you have a group of people over. Oh, and the app is fine, but slow like molasses. But it's the best way to do the initial setup, imho. Cheers!

I purchased a De'Longhi Dinamica Plus ECAM 370.95.T in September 2021 and it’s been brilliant, this looks like the same model. I highly recommend this model.

Thanks Tom for the review. Just got that machine for x-mas as a replacement for a 13 year-old Magnifica 3300. Quite an upgrade indeed. Just a question though. It seems that the newer machines waste a lot of fresh water in the drip tray "while" making the coffee. And I'm not talking about the rinsing. I'm very careful on always putting something under the nozzle. But there is a lot of water accumulating and according to the website, it's "normal". Would you (or anyone reading this) know why it's wasting so much water?
@TomsCoffeeCorner11 ай бұрын
It might be over pressured water, getting diverted into the tray. I haven't really noticed myself, but I haven't been monitoring it. Cheers!

Just bought the machine and it’s still not as hot as I would like..where is that setting to make it extra hot that you mentioned in the video? I run a rinse cycle warm my cup and have the temp in the settings to high as well..I’m in Canada so we have the US model here. Thanks very much for a great video!

Hi there! I just tried mine again on a Coffee (coffee crema), and it's very hot for me on the 'hot' setting. Nearly too hot to drink at first. That being said, make sure to warm your cups first, as this is important with any machine. Anyway, which drink on the machine isn't hot enough for you? Cheers!
@milenkoatkinson416310 ай бұрын
Thanks so much. The warming of the cup with the hot water is key along with a machine rinse prior to brewing does the trick for my coffee setting! Even the espresso is hotter but not to the point where you can’t just do a quick shot and go. Great channel and your videos are awesome. I’ve learned so much watching 😊

Thanks Tom for your review of Dinamica Plus. I bought this last month and chose over the Philips LatteGo. However watching how you have a good crema on the dopio and long, I wonder how can I have the same results on my Dinamica plus? 😅

You can. Just use some good freshly roasted beans (tip: 20%. robusta adds extra crema).

Hi Tom, thanks as always for your truly punctual reviews. I tried the Dinamica Plusfor a few days, but it did not convince me above all because the espresso did not leave hot, but lukewarm. Is there a way to get it out very hot? Or would you recommend a machine for espresso that brings out very hot coffee?
@TomsCoffeeCorner Жыл бұрын
Mine has a nice temperature but admittedly is not quite as hot as the Sage Dual Boiler. But still a fine espresso. Did your shot run long or short? What beans and grind setting?

I am getting ready to start a food truck with coffee and donuts in the morning. I thought bean to cup would be the way to go. Will this machine do 16 ounce cups? Can I attach a water pump system on this machine to draw water? Is this the best machine under 1500 for my needs or what do you recommend? I intend on doing the espresso and doubles, with Americano, Cappuccino, and late. Maybe also some iced drinks. Thanks in advance!
@TomsCoffeeCorner2 ай бұрын
Oh boy....that't hard to say. This, and all the machines I use are domestic machines, not really designed for gastronomy. The drinks on this will take too long, with people waiting in line, would be my guess. But it also depends on your throughput.
