I bought the new philips Lattego 5500 about 3 weeks ago. Had different drinks daily as a family. I recognized that the milk foam is really terrible. The espresso quality was pretty good, but if you prefer to drink milk-based drinks, then I wouldn’t recommend philips at all. At least with the current Lattego technology. Today I gave back the Philips machine and bought the Delonghi Eletta Explore and beside the Material differences, I could definitely feel the higher quality of the machine. The foam is much finer and the fact that you can adjust the „foaminess“ of your milk ist great. Thank you for your time and the great video!

We have a Magnifica ESAM 4200 that's in its 15th year - regularly serviced, parts replaced as needed and it works pretty much as new. We also have (an even older) GCP and MDF grinder: I prefer the espresso from this combo but the Delonghi makes about 90% of the coffee in our house because it's so easy. They are great machines and it's interesting to see what a modern one can do. Thank you for your videos, always interesting.

Exquisite, exactly what I was waiting for. A very thorough demo on functions and UI of this great unit. I had no idea I would be this interested in watching a video about super automatics. You gotta know its a delonghi super auto, when you hear them start. I have a magnifica S at my office and it sounds exactly same way. It's always weird to me how you say, that your beans are 3-4 weeks old, in my area all local roasters roast on daily basis (I guess pour over/filter is more popular and customers always ask for their beans to be ground) so I have to wait a week before indulging in a cup of specialty coffee. Cheers!

On the magnifica EVO, to do hot cocoa, you can drop the powder in the cup, attach the milk frother full, select the grinder bypass but don’t actually load any coffee, hit the my latte button, and it’ll empty the frother into the glass and then cancel itself because there’s no coffee in the bypass. Thanks for the review! It's been really helpful to understand how the machine works, but I have a question about iced coffee. When making iced coffee, how do you add sugar before the coffee is poured over the ice? Since the machine serves the hot coffee directly onto the ice, there's no time to add sugar beforehand. This is important because most people drink their coffee with sugar, and I'd love to know the best way to ensure it dissolves properly. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks!

Well, I am not going to go out on a limb and say this is as good as, or better than a semi-automatic portafilter machine. But if you choose the maximum dosage (intensity), and watch your ratios, I think it's going to get most users pretty close, depending on how developed your palate is. Hi Tom! greetings from Spain!. We love coffee at home, and of course your job with it!. We learn a lot with you, please continue doing what you do. I have a simple question with this machine. ¿The brew group of this machine is the same in the delonghi rivelia? The reason for this question is because we are considering buying the rivelia. We are looking for a super automatic machine able to make great expresso (10 expressos per day at home) and that particular machine sims to have the same brew group like the dinamica plus or eletta. On the other hand we aren't interested at all in the milk steamer (we don't use it). Now, in Spain we can buy the rivelia without the automatic steamer at 579€ and we think it is a good choice. But we would like to know your advice. Thanks a lot!!

Buenos dias! The Rivelia has a slightly smaller brew group, but I guess it can do the same size doses. At least that's what they told me at the store. The Rivelia is really quite a nice machine. I will be releasing a teaser of it this week.

Would be nice if you can review the Delonghi Rivelia in the future. The Bean switcher looks like it is very useful, for that reason alone I would switch from my Magnifica Start (Which I've been quite happy actually, in my tests, it actually grinds 16g consistently, especially if I single dose it.). Whenever I have friends at home, these machines are great. Doing 6-10 coffees in my bambino would be a pain in the ass :D

I agree, these are nice for multiple drinks! Rivelia hopefully in the near future.

Delonghi eletta explore VS Jura z10?🤔🤔
@TomsCoffeeCorner7 ай бұрын
I don't know. Jura's machines actually feel quite cheap. Not sure about coffee in a direct comparison, I'd have to buy one.

So which De'longhi Superautomatic makes the best espresso and Capaccino drinks?
@TomsCoffeeCorner7 ай бұрын
I think the Dinamica Plus would be my recommendation because it's a little cheaper, and makes the same drinks. Cheers!

@@TomsCoffeeCorner one of the KZbinrs did a demo (they are Canadian) between the Plus and the Explore. The Explore had much finer froth. Did you find that to be true? Perhaps the newer models are getting better?

Great Video! What is the exact model of the machine you reviewed?

Delonghi is good because u can choose how foamy your milk is. But it breaks very easily you need to open it up and maintain is quite well

Apparently, De'Longhi have the highest reliability rating of any full automatic machines.
