Hey guys, thanks for watching the video, and sorry for the audio's reverberation. For some reason, YT studio defaulted to my webcam's mic instead of the Sennheiser mic connected to my camera. I'm going to have to double check if I do a live video again. Cheers!

I nearly swooned when I opened the box. All the parts no not all parts but accompaniments. Well even at my age I am never daunted, this is a challenge and I usually get it right. I did think though, holy moley Denise all this for a cup of coffee. Even I prefer beans and I get good beans grown at North Queensland. Been buying tea and the coffee beans. Roasted or not. I get the roasted ones. Perfect. Great.

I'm glad that you mentioned that it is actually a good sign that the machine can stall itself, It shows that it can grind fine enough and able to pack in the grinds tight. I totally agree, and is why I love Delonghi super-autos. Might not be for the beginners or first-time user, but I love the flexibility for different types of beans. Set it course or fine as needed. I had a Philips 5400 and it was never able to grind fine enough, and no beans would make it stall, even the freshest. Resulting in watery weak espresso.
@TomsCoffeeCorner

The 5400 and other Phillips also provide smaller pucks than Delonghi, which adds to the problem. Cheers!

I love mocaccino / mocha... second day on your channel, watching a lot of videos, looking for a machine for making espresso... or maybe just buy a portable Outin, for example, since I don’t drink coffee every day, especially espresso.. At the moment I brew coffee in Turkish coffee copper pot ... In a word, I think what is the best option to choose... and so I watch videos on other channels and return to this channel. I’m very impressed by your persona. You are an open and honest person! It's very nice to see your reviews/listen your thinks/watch your videos . @@TomsCoffeeCorner DEFINITELY, because it is such a change from the pump-thermos crap that dominates American coffee. It is the very best coffee available mass-market, I bet the methodology spreads to other chains. Soon.... 7-11 will have them because it cuts down on wasted coffee and labor. BTW, the machine lets you stop the brew any time to make it stronger ... which of course I preferred.

Good video. When I looked for a used espresso maker, most of what I found was low-end Delonghi boiler machines, but I was surprised that there was always a couple superautomatic machines for sale. They do not sell quickly, though. A technical comment for the video: The camera was clearly tracking your head and would occasionally but a box around it. No big deal, but a little distracting.

Interesting you say that @1amelectricman. I have reverse osmosis and this machine as well but opted for not using RO because supposedly you need the minerals in the water to help to extract more nuances from the beans. I do have whole house filtration though, but it does not remove all minerals as the RO on the kitchen sink provides.

I have one of these and so far I like it. It's my first bean to cup machine and I wanted something easy to use otherwise my wife would never use it, it has a great choice of drinks, however I find it very needy, filling up cleaning etc I've had problems with the milk foaming (the coupler needs a good clean) and I've also had the brew unit out for a clean and lube for the price it has a lot of plastic that I didn't expect, my fridge freezer cost the same, is probably 10 times the size and is metal front back and sides, however I'm still enjoying the coffee. Something I forgot, the cup warmer dosen't heat up which is disappointing for the price.

I’m considering this or the dinamica plus. My question (after you have dialed in the machine settings a bit), is that the base drinks (espresso, cappuccino, etc.) are at least the equal of the plus. Then it would seem there is more upside with all the other options with this machine and worth the extra $s. This machine is several years newer…

So far the drinks seem to be the same. But with the Eletta you get a nicer screen and the cold drinks, plus tumbler. But, it depends on the price difference.

Well done Tom, it must take quite a lot of stamina to turn out a 55-minute review. While I wouldn't mind a new B2C this one doesn't really offer me a reason to get one. I drink espresso and cappuccino, but my 2017 Magnifica does both about as competently as a B2C could manage, and has _real_ buttons on the front so that you don't have to paw round a touch screen when your eyes are only half-open. Those cappu flasks look like a bit of a bother to clean, too. My panarello goes into the foaming jug when I've done, gets flushed with the hot water out of the tap and then soaks until next time. Really, these gongs, bells & whistles machines are just gliding the lily: if the basic unit works then the rest is cruft.
@TomsCoffeeCorner
@TomsCoffeeCorner 2 ай бұрын
Haha, thanks! The Eletta is actually a pretty cool machine, but I'd say the functionality is quite similar to the Dinamica, but with the cold drinks added. They both have the advantage over their cheaper machines, that you can get much larger pucks, which offers a more intense espresso to cut through the milk drinks. I like that a lot. Our kids also had quite fun playing with the touch interface this evening. All that being said, these are way more affordable in the EU. In North America, they're dang expensive! Cheers!

Hello Tom. As you, I prefer hot coffee over cold, but this machine invites me to try the cold route. A couple of advantages of the Eletta Explore over the Dynamica Plus is the Bean Adaptive Technology and the ability to connect via wifi to your phone instead of just via bluetooth. That lets you operate the machine from afar. Personally, I prefer the Eletta over the Dynamica Plus. Way prettier too😂😂. Would appreciate a thorough review after dialing the Bean Adaptive Technology. Also, weighing the biggest coffee puck produced by this machine would be appreciated. For some reason, even though your video is 1080P, it looks somehow grainier than previous ones.
@TomsCoffeeCorner
@TomsCoffeeCorner 2 ай бұрын
I’m curious to see what that being adaptive technology is to be honest. Right now I don’t know. If I had to take a guess, it might just help you with dialing in. I’m also working on getting connected with the app. So far that’s not working, strangely. And I’m not sure how they quality works on the video and audio. It seems that KZbin throttles the quality, based on the Internet connection.

@@TomsCoffeeCorner Hello, Tom. Indeed, the bean adaptive technology (which is available only on DeLonghi's top super automatics) supposedly helps fine tuning the extraction based on the freshness and roast level of the beans. This may be a game changer feature and it would be interesting to know your opinion in regards to the flavor before and after applying this technology. Keep trying with the app. I'd heard that it works nice and gives you more customization over beverages. Regards, friend!

I’m looking at switching from a Breville Oracle to this. My husband and I have small kids so time poor. Love a quick coffee but still want it to taste good. Drink at least half my coffees cold so thats appealing to me. My big question is I haven’t used a super automatic before is there a big taste/quality difference from a semi-automatic like a Breville Oracle? We’re kind of mid-range coffee snobs. Buy good beans from a local roaster and like nice coffee but not like super super picky.
@TomsCoffeeCorner
@TomsCoffeeCorner 2 ай бұрын
I’m working on a full review of this machine right now. It does a great job for a SA, but I’m sure the Oracle delivers the better drinks. The Eletta with a Doppio+ can however deliver 15 gram pucks and a fine enough grind to get a pretty darn good espresso. But, its intensity and depth of flavor will not be as good as the Oracle. Hope this helps.

I mean kind of, but not really. The Magnifica S can only do smaller doses. Even the Magnifica Evo cannot do the doses that the Dinamica Plus and Eletta do.
