The grind coarseness with this DeLonghi machine confused me, as I wasn’t sure whether to turn the dial literally while it was actually grinding or just slightly after! Good video. One thing I would expand on. When the grinder has beans in it it stops you from making a finer adjustment on the grind because it can't squash the beans in between grinders and you will break it. It is not that the machine needs to be running but you must make the adjustment in the short time the bean is actually grinding. I do not think you need to do it for backing it out for a larger grind but if it is difficult to move the dial I would do it the same as making it finer.

Just one issue, you should only adjust the grind while the grinder is running. I.e. while the beans are being consumed by the machine. The reason for this is to prevent damage to the grinder by causing it to jam . If you adjust the grind when the grinder is not running, you can jam coffee beans between the grinding surfaces. By having the grinder running while adjusting, this bean jamming can't happen. You're half way correct in you make a coffee while adjusting, but you only have a brief few seconds to do this while the beans are moving in the hopper.

Thanks, Bernie. Cleaning the hopper would have been a nice one. Missed that. But I just use a paper towel to wipe the internal surface. That’s it. We have to avoid getting the grinders wet. Hope this helps

Wrong! You should adjust the grinder WHILE IT IS GRINDING. Because you tighten it, and if its not grinding, you squeeze what's left in it breaking the gears.

As he mentioned....it could be the the type of milk you are using. For instance oat milk doesn't frost very well or at all. Normal2 percent works really well. My machine didn't recognize the container had milk in it when I used a certain type of fat free milk. I thought my machine was broke, but as soon as I started using a different milk it worked perfectly.

Changing the coffee grind should only be done when it’s actually grinding the coffee, NOT when it’s making a coffee. You’ll notice the difference when you turn the knob when it’s grinding and when it’s not.

Skip ahead to 1:09. That’s where I talk about how to adjust the temp. If you want iced coffee, then you just need to add ice cubes to the drink that you’re making. Hope this helps.

You can actually adjust it. You know how you’re supposed to press the My Latte button twice? Just hold press on the second one. Hope that makes sense

I think it shouldn’t be much of an issue. Just make sure to press the button when you feel the milk quantity is enough.

I love your videos but my 6 month old magnifica evo is not going through the descaling cycle correctly although i am following their directions to a t and using their descaler. I' ve done it three times and the descaling button is still lit up. My ware refill light never goes on at all and my water only comes out out of the hot water spout no the coffee spouts. I'm very frustrated.
