I had a 1981 DeLorean in my collection from 1990 until 2000. We loved the car and was my wife's idea after we saw "Back to the Future part II". She said after the movie "why don't we have that car". That's all I needed, so I found one in Milwaukee and traded our 1985 Jaguar plus cash. When my daughter was a senior in high school, I let her use it as her daily driver, and it was a huge hit. She became very popular. I sold it to a friend, but later found the steel chassis was rusting away under the rubber coating. He found another chassis in California and swapped it in.

So much has been written on the Delorian; certainly one school of thought is that if Back To The Future had come out just a little earlier the company would have survived, and there were plans afoot for an increase in performance; it brings me to tears thinking about its demise. 😂LoL hahahahah!😂. 1:17. I didn't expect that! Who did this editing??? So funny! In fact, Tommy Boy was real & same personality who I met & joked with of the movie portrayal, but he denied it! Somebody made a movie about him & his father & the major Detroit brake vendor Unibond Brake's & Tom Kernech & his father Hillarey & very young step mom who did get everything in 2005'ish!!!!! He was the real Tommy Boy!😂

Great video. I have just one pet peeve. I’m a DMC owner and can confirm the car doesn’t drive as fast as it’s filmed in the clip shown in this video. ( See 2:08 )That clip was a DeLorean fitted with a Corvette engine and a Porsche transmission. I’ll admit it’s bitch’n when driving that fast. I may convert my car as well! Cheers!

Thank you Robert Zemeckis for rescuing the DeLoren from obscurity. Apparently it goes fast enough to outpace its creators reputation. Must be the after market flux capacitor. ;-)
