I believe one reason why personal TVs are not being installed by some carriers anymore is to save fuel due to the added weight these added amenities put on the plane. I applaud Delta for having this amenity and furthermore for offering all the entertainment for free and now also free text messaging.

Thanks for the review. The wife and I are taking this A/C LAX-PVR in FC. I booked us in the last row because I thought their was a bulkhead. No matter, PVR-LAX we are in 2C/D this trip will be her 1st time flying FC. Shes only flown eco her whole life. The best part is she doesn't know it. We bought the tickets through our mutual checking account. I've since upgraded us with my personal debit card.

I've had the opportunity to travel on several DL first class cabins, and I hate to say that they're so inconsistent. The 738s I encountered were both like this - and I found them to be cramped, with the seats not being so comfortable. The CRJs are hit-or-miss, with one being OK (a 900), one being uncomfortable (also 900), and a third being pretty comfortable (a 700) The 717 I was on was decently comfortable. As was the newly-renovated A319. However, the best of them all was the Embraer 170. Man, it was COMFORTABLE! But it seems that all E170/75/90/95 have comfortable seats no matter what airline it is.

I once had a Delta first class flight attendant threaten me after i said something about him after he was nasty to me (I didn't insult him; rather I told my seatmate what I thought of his rudeness). He threatened to kick me off the plane for voicing my opinion. I told him that I had free speech and my opinion of him was not in violation of any flight rules and that me wishing to share that opinion with my seatmate was fully my option. I can see how he wouldn't like it, but it wasin no ways grounds to push me off a flight. I did not threaten him. I loudly voiced my opinion of him. Big difference. He left in a huff. The lady in the row behind said she had him on a flight 3 weeks earlier and he was just as nasty and rude. I asked the passenger's name. I contacted Delta to report the incidence. Delta corroborated with the other rude incident experienced by the other passenger and Delta sent me a feedback email that the FA had been severely reprimanded. So Delta cares about investigating incidences like this. And i've had some really lazy FAs from Delta in my past 18 years of flying. But these are maybe 10-15 experiences out of 1.7 million milies of Delta travel. It's not the norm. Most of the time they're pretty good.

The trip was very nice..liked the priority boarding ,drinks ,pellow and blanket ..the second half of the flight was on a md 88. Very quiet up front in 2 c and d .

isaacflyaway i have flown with JetBlue for 11 years and they have yet to let me down. Friendly staff, great cabin, awesome Pilots, Hilarious FA’s, id honestly recommend them outta all of the other US carriers and if you get to fly the A321 even in economy it is truly a magical experience

I usually travel in first on the Amtrak Acela when I make my commute to Boston. Delta First Class honestly seems to be lacking some perks you get with the train such as quality of refreshment and tables, however, the trip itself by plane is MUCH shorter and that's the tradeoff (not including wait and baggage and security of course). I do also like the fact that Delta First is about $200 less than first on Acela. The complementary endless booze does make up for the 6 hr train ride though haha.

Good video but I disagree with some of your statements. I travel in F a LOT and I generally find DL to be crappy. I think AA has much more consistent service with UA being the worst of the Big 3. I also prefer using my iPad for entertainment as it’s more flexible and only includes movies that I want to view and can be paused, fast-forwarded, etc. at my whim. Lastly, for some reason DL’s pitch always seems tighter to me than their competition. I know they claim to be competitive but it’s always more of a struggle to get out of their window seats. Again, good video.

This process lasts around 5 to 10 minutes depending on the flight. If our prayers were successful, then we’ll be protected for the entire flight. Any questions?

Try the A350 you’ll change your mind then. I hate AA because we got delayed for 6 hours for some stupid reason and my flight was 5hrs 34min. When we were finally on the plane on the air, they didn’t serve until 2 and half hours later. Then when we landed, the wouldn’t even let us off the plane for about an hour because of a “ technical issue “. Ever since then I’ve been flying Delta

Very uncomfortable looking plane. Why no adjustable headsets? And no one uses pvts anymore. Delta is hardly "on point." Very uneven service and their JFK operation is a mess. Not surprised Delta lags behind yet again.

The PTVs Delta installs are really good. Tons of selection and great screens. Service can be uneven - yes - but i've found that on United and AA. Overall, Delta beats both for median scores across the board though. Delta DOES listen to FF comments/complaints. For about a 4 month range -- about 4 years ago -- FAs started getting lax on serving PDBs in FC. It went from 80% of the time to like 50% of the time. This was just my empirical evaluation from 15-20 flights during that time frame. And I didn't count the delayed flights. I complained -- and it appears others did too -- because after that 4 month duration it became a point of emphasis. Even when were delayed, FAs would many times say: "I don't have time to open the full bar, but let me know if I can get you a quick water or glass of wine before take off." And PDBs went from 50% of the time to 90% of the time after that 4 month dry spell.
