By the way, those IFE screens are actually touch screens, though they are an older technology that uses pressure to sense touch, so you can’t just tap lightly on them. In economy the screens on these older 737s and 757s are identical to these, and there are no buttons in the arm rest. Those controllers in the arm rest are a relic of the past, and some of the buttons on them don’t function any more.

@@aviationmco Also, they’re luckily going to be a thing of the past very soon, as Delta has begun replacing first class seats on their 737-800s. They’ve gone with with the same first class seats from the A321 NEO. Looks like economy and comfort plus seats are staying the same internally, but they will install 10 inch screens from Panasonic in them. I think they’re adding adjustable head rests as well. Think sort of like the 767 economy seats. They also get the newer winglet design that saves fuel.
