Nice review. Thanks Chris. I have a Federico from Martemodena with a fussion nib, and I love how it writes, but it has a problem of ink starvation, and I'd like to work the feed a little bit. How did you disassemble it? Is it screwed? Friction fit? I noticed like some residues on the nib. Could they have used some shellac assembling it?

Nib & Feed friction fit. Should come out with gentle pressure. Have you tried different inks? Some Delta's are sensitive to inks.

Yes, I have tried several inks, including Delta and Waterman Serenity Blue ( that I've heard is quite reliable in that regard). Thank you for your quick answer! ;-)

My guess, Martemodena bought in volume & sold at cost. Very low margins. Made it up with volume. Needlessly, I am happy I got many Delta's at a great price,

Hey Chris, I was wondering...I love the size of my Bexley Prometheus. It feels great in my hand. How does a Dolcevita Mid-Size (and I guess these Federicos are all mid-size) compare -- especially at the section? Do they feel similar?

Yes very similar. I have a Prometheus. Was a daily writer for a while before the Federico's. Bexley section - 12-13x10mm. Delta 12.3-13.8x16mm. Barrels 14.5 & 14.3mm respectively. The Delta slightly bigger section. Both very comfortable to hold.
