Thank you for your time and effort making and publishing the video. One small correction: the old ring can not be cleaned up and potentially reused because it is the iron magnet in the damaged (from the hose rubbing against it) magnet ring that is the source of all that rust. By the way, the first time I had this happen on my kitchen faucet, Delta sent me a whole new faucet spout and a new wand hose assembly. Someone must have started doing the math and realized that a little magnet replacement kit would be much cheaper for Delta to send out.

Thank you very much for the instructions... I called Delta ordered the part... they sent it for free... got it today… The faucet doesn't attach the same as shown here but I was able to unscrew it with pliers and it literally took 30 seconds to fix... It's been hanging and broken like this for several years but I did not know how to fix it.. Glad I finally looked it up..

@@DaxM Last year, I bought a brand new Delta faucet for over $500 because of this exact problem, and then I paid a plumber over $400 to install it. Imagine my horror when the exact same problem occurred all over again. Thanks for the video! Hopefully, Delta will send the replacement parts. This is definitely a design defect...

Mine is rusted and bulging and it’s been 8 months. What a terrible design for a $600 faucet.

Thank you for your walkthrough. This save me a lot of time of reading the instructions and I was able to fix this in less than a minute. One thing to add is also when you call Delta to ask for a replacement nozzle sprayer as well. It will save you a lot of time then sitting there cleaning with vinegar.

Wish I had known about the lifetime warranty. I ordered mine from the Delta website and they arrive in a couple of days. Three magnets and the tool cost $45 dollars and then there is shipping added on. Anyway, glad to have them and appreciate this very helpful video on how to remove and replace them. God bless.

Thank you for this video!! I was about to try and buy and fit washers not realizing the magnetic parts. Giving the Delta # greatly appreciated, they are a good company and as you said will send warranty replacement parts. I'm bookmarking your video so I will follow your advice on the install. You saved me a lot of time and I'm appreciative.

Great video! Thank you! For those trying to see how to remove the faucet head. On the retaining collar there is a pressure button, press this and unscrew. He shows it nicely at the end of the video. Another tip. Mine was so corroded I thought I had the whole piece out but the retaining clip was still fixed in place. Could not figure out why the install end of the tool would not fit. Delta sent me the magnet kit including tool and a brand new faucet head.

If you tie a string around the hose, you can prevent the hose from falling down making reassembly easier. Thin string is easy to finagle with the installation tool.

This is the easiest repair ever. Took less than 5 minutes. I did not want to get under sink to push hose back uo so I used hemostat to grab it. It is just inside the metal tube so easy to grab it.

Great video! Thanks. I called Delta and they sent me out the set of 3 magnets and tool free of charge. I had an issue with the solenoid a while back (low pressure) and that was a freebee as well. My magnet was a bit of a challenge getting out. Didn't come out nearly as easily as yours. After about 10 minutes of pulling it finally gave way. Delta has excellent customer service and stands behind their products.

Thank you. After reading over Delta's terse instructions, a light bulb went off with the idea that someone must have done a video of the magnet being successfully replaced. Your video cleared up a lot of my questions and confusion. I removed and replaced the magnet in less than 5 minutes. Your helpful video is greatly appreciated. Thank you again.

Thank you for the video. Bought a Delta and had installed 2 days ago. the magnet is loose and comes off and stays connected to the sprayer. My son who is 16 said the magnet doesnt work. By viewing your video it looks like the magnet replacement piece may have cracked at the "clip" as I don't see a lip that would help it stay and click in place on the base hence it is coming off easily. delta is sending me a Magna Tote replacement kit. I do hope they send me the Orange tool you used in your video. Thank you again great video. would have saved eme from removing and returning to Lowe's and also needing to pay plumber again!

I have a late model delta faucet of this design and less than a year old with this problem. Delta sent me the kit and I repaired it. The kit even has extra magnets which I assume they anticipate it's use. I love the functionality of the faucet especially with the Touch2O feature. However, why can't they make the magnet impervious to a bit of water?
