The ability to buy replacement/extra mounts may be the best reason for someone to buy the Ridgid version of this stand instead of the Delta. Extra mounts for the Ridgid are easily orderable (albeit for ~$50 ea, so not cheap). I would also add that the Ridgid version of this stand is not identical, but it is very similar. The most obvious difference are the handles, but there are some other slight differences besides the obvious color. In terms of basic design and function, they are pretty darn close though.

You said in your video you're unable to get the brackets Well I bought the same stand at a yard sale and it didn't come with the brackets so I gotta hold a Delta and they told me I could get Them through home depot online I hope this helps you I was able to Order them and I got Them within a week thank you for good video

Quick question: How did you go about adjusting the tension on the mounts so that they didn't slide?

Comparing pictures of the delta/rigid - it appears the delta miter stand is better made. The top part of the stand looks very similar between delta/rigid and wonder if the mounts are interchangeable. I use my compound sliding miter saw a lot and need a quick way to set up/fold down and stow. I'll have to design some leg supports for the top extensions to insure they stay level with the saw's cutting table.

Ive had two of them brake where the knob holds the material support up and down movement. Neither of them lasted a year.

I have the same issues with mine. Wanted a 2nd set of mounts for my metal chop saw.

I have my DWS779 on this stand and it’s perfect. I didnt like the Bosch, Dewalt or Ridgid stands, all of which I’ve owned.

You could just clamp the button down to measure to adjust stops. ?
