I am a retired TBI neurologist, having worked at Fort Benning, GA for 12 years. I have been a neurologist for 28 years. TBI is THE unseen, non discussed injury of the military. It is often indistinguishable from PTSD, symptoms overlap making each defineable and treatable. Unfortunately society is aware of PTSD but not TBI. Our sm's get TBI's in combat and in garrison, training accidents, combatives, explosives and all the civilian causes such as falls etc. The ethos in the military leads to many not seeking medical attention. I am glad to see this episode bringing this issue attention.

I'm basing my opinion off of what I've read and who I've listened to that the unit has the best shooters in the world and it isn't even close. The unit was the first counter terrorist unit to do multiple breach points when hitting a target.
