Update: I had the same issue with other players in Steam community discussion, even with those 4090 GPUs, I'll just wait until they optimize it to all drivers. Understandable since it's an Open Beta I have a Gigabyte laptop (i7 13th-gen, RTX 4050, 16 GB RAM) capable of running games at 240 FPS, yet Delta Force struggles at 50-70 FPS, even on low settings. GPU usage is only 40%, and RAM usage nearly maxes out without background apps. This performance is unacceptable for my hardware. Additionally, the lack of an auto-run feature in a fast-paced game is frustrating. Running should be automatic. Please optimize the game’s graphics and performance for better hardware utilization.

So theres a lot i dont like about this game but theres things i do like. I dont know if this is just me or if everyone has this issue but footsteps dont seem to be a thing. In battlefield to prevent you from just getting killed from behind 24/7 footsteps are quite obvious. In this game no matter how much i try to listen for them i can't, its like EVERYTHING else is so loud minus the footsteps so a problem i run into is just getting shot in the back. Battlefield thats not an issue for me. Another issue is the movement feels kinda dated, i also dont like that slide is bound to a specific specialist. Specialists is something people hated about battlefield but delta force brought them in. I wanted to like this game it looks great, some of the animations are great maps look solid but man theres a lot missing.

Personally, the devs just slaughtered the fun for me with their weapon balance after the last test. Previously, all the weapons were capable of killing enemies at basically all practical ranges. Some were better, some were worce, but you absolutely could kill your enemy with every AR at 100m. That's what BF did wrong, and this game did right, and i could've forgive a lot for that. And devs FOR NO DAMN REASON slaughtered the damage at med-long distances for every non-sniper weapon. Now A DAMN G3 (and all the assault/battlerifles) has LOWER min damage than MOST OF THE SMGs. That's ridiculous

Don't hate on me but I enjoyed the gameplay. The game looks like a Battlefield rip-off, but did seem to have a little bit more of the classic Battlefield immersion than 2042 - although that's an incredibly low bar. As a spectator, ranking the last three Battlefield games and this, I would suggest Battlefied 1 > Battlefield V > Delta Force > Battlefield 2042

Whilst I enjoy the game, I agree that smoking is bad, mkay. Far too much smoky and the spray and pray bandits going on. Also, how awkward and just scuffed is the view during driving? It's like the camera's position is far too statically parented to the Y horizontal axis so even hitting a small rock causes the camera to move really far in the most rigid neck way possible. That driving camera control is a soup sandwich making love to a hockey ball. Sniping feels good though. I will say Luna is quite the useful operator.

My honest opinion. Given a choice between Delta Force as a free game and BF2042 at full price, Delta Force wins. Given a choice between Delta Force as a free game or BF2042 at £4-ish on a Steam sale, then it would easily be BF2042.

Delta don't have conquest. They have "king of the hill" the love child of conquest and breakthrough. It's a mess, they didn't even bother fixing the bugs on early access. Also hate the muzzle sounds and map design even the graphics is subpar to 2042.
