I played the extraction mode one time with a squad and the PvP was fun but when I went down my team mates just walked over my corpse and didn’t revive me and would barely respond to me in voice. I dont want to play games on PC anymore. Teamwork is dead in this world

This game is gonna have to try a little harder if it doesn’t want to die in 3 months like all the other “Battlefield killers.” There is nothing to me that really sets this apart from 2042, hell even the small things like the revive icons and map colors are the same. Killing a major competitor isn’t as easy as copying one of their worst games.

You do realize the name is just that; just a name right? You could take BF3, call the Recon "Casper" and the Medic "Falck", etc. and you would have nearly the same thing as BF2042. The only real difference is more character models and a few more options before you click to spawn. The gameplay impact is supremely minor. Do I like the simplified aspect of just classes? Sure. Does it drastically change the game making it something completely different and foreign to have 3-4 'assault' class options as opposed to 1? No. BF2042, with the exception of all the launch issues, has played like any other BF game I've played.

I was in the last play test and my buddy uses a controller religiously, I remember he had to really finagle it to work and do a lot of binding, and there were some options he straight up couldn't get. I like this game, but it's super controller unfriendly (At least in the playtest)
