Possibly the most stupid thing about this device is that the inverter on/off button is on the back panel of the device. However, it is probably a more important button than the main power switch of the entire device on the front. The battery capacity is said to be 1024 Wh. When the charge level of the Delta 2 battery according to the display is 10%, to charge it to 100% AC in - only 420 Wh of mains electricity is consumed. And when I reduce the AC out from 100% to 10%, I only get 320 Wh. This is complete garbage in a nice outer shell. I think I'll skip such a toy and buy a real LFP battery instead EcoFlow Delta 2...

After reading many reviews and watching a lot of videos, I chose this option for my first backup power station. kzbin.infoUgkxHypYDKHAN93Lp2RQpfvU_ksc70wJ00pt I was between this and a larger option that could power a wider range of items, but the price/size/capacity blend seemed right for this unit. Hasn't gotten a ton of use yet, but the build quality is solid and it charges fine via the Rockpals solar panel I purchased to pair with it. One thing to note is that the screen is optimized for a top down viewing angle, which makes sense, but this means it washes out at other angles - especially low angles. Not a huge deal, but perhaps a better option for the display could be used to provide wider viewing angles.

The reason I went with the Ecoflow is the battery has a 3000 cycles rating instead of 500 and charges in 1 hour 20 min instead of 5.5 hours but they cost the same and the Ecoflow has higher power output rating too.

I was expecting things like the real world duration when used in a certain scenario... Like using the electric kettle to boil water, the power generator could last this amount of time. Also just give us the pricing, if its attractive then we could check it out.

It was hard to test that because when you turn the kettle on it shows 1 hour but it only takes 3-4 minutes. So if you run the math you can boil 20 kettles of water off of one batter if you won’t be hooking it up to a solar panel or a second battery. Also the kettle uses the most power compared to other accessories like coffee maker and other things.

I heard those EcoFlow solar panels don't work if there's the smallest shadow cast on them. Does anyone know if it's true??? They're also super pricey and if it breaks, you're totally done. I feel it's better to have 4x100w panels from another brand for less than half the price of a EcoFlow 400w panel. If one breaks, you still have three in working condition to collect energy.

I tested my 160W Ecoflow panel like this. It was producing 154 watts, and I stood in front of 1 of the segments, and it dropped to 86 watts. On a completely overcast day it produced 25 to about 35 watts. I like mine.😎

We bought one and like it, but it has no light on it, and the power efficiency is sadly rated at only 74%. So it's not really giving you one thousand and 24 watt hours, but more like in the mid to high 700's! I'm an American living in South Africa and we have to have one of these due to the corrupt ANC government driving the power grid into the gates of Hell. The Delta 2 has changed our daily lives. Now... when the power goes out, as it daily does sometimes 5 times a day.... I can still make my coffee, or wash my clothes. If I had the money I would have bought the Bluetti instead, as it has a better efficiency rating, and it has a light....and even two power pads on top to charge your phones on. In short the Delta 2 is a good unit, but it doesn't really give you the rated watt hours of 1024. If things were not so expensive here in South Africa... I would have bought the Bluetti. Another reason I got the Ecoflow is because it's more established in this country and has better customer service. Ecoflow has a 5 year warranty vs Bluetti's two year. But who knows.... in a couple of years if Bluetti starts selling more units in South Africa and can deliver a unit with real South African plugs.... and not just give us an EU unit with an adapter.... I just might buy one!!!

Whatever you say about only taking sponsored reviews from products you like, you are being PAID to say it. There is a difference between having a sponsored video and being sponsored by the maker of the product you are reviewing. That is an AD. You really need to factor in to what you are being paid with how much it diminishes your credibility. Don’t want to see your subscriber numbers go in the wrong direction. All these all-in-one battery, controller, solar systems are way overpriced. That’s why the only reviews you see for them are “sponsored”.

Hey toadlguy, I completely understand what you're saying. You don't know how many offers we get to do dedicated paid videos, it's insane. Even though the money is good we turn down so many of them which is why it's rare to see dedicated sponsored videos on our channel compared to some other tech channels. Yes, these aren't cheap but where else can you get anything better for less money, especially considering the new battery that's in this thing with a 3000 cycle rating which is good for 10 years and then after that you still have 80% of the original charging capacity. As far as I say, no other brand offers this for $999 and the expansion for $799.

I have to admit, as I was watching the video, I was waiting for the things you didn't like about the delta 2, but none were mentioned. There are a number of strong negatives about three delta 2 such as the emergency power (ups) feature talking too long to switch over making it unsuitable for sensitive electronics, and the external battery having zero features, ports or capabilities and can't even be charged without the delta 2, making it wildly over priced compared to just buying a second delta 2, and several more issues. I thought surely some of these would be mentioned. I still like the product quite a lot. But I recognize that fort the most part it's just updated to catch up with the rest of their newer lineup, and updating their battery chemistry to catch up with the rest of the industry. It has some issues, but pretty solid nonetheless.

@@MaxTechOfficial I agree about similar All-In-One devices being the same price or greater. But that is the problem, if you compare the component costs these things are way, way overpriced. You are also paying for a controller that can handle loads of additional amp hours (to support the plug in batteries) as well as a Solar controller that half the users will never use. And I question the need for wireless and an app in a portable device. This market is changing fast and having a 10 year life (maybe - how can you test this?) might not matter when 2 years from now I suspect there will be similar or better for half the price. These are all things you would have found out if you researched the market, something I think you would have done if this wasn’t a sponsored video. I think you guys are trying real hard and doing a good job but doing sponsored reviews is a bad idea for your brand. The reason you get loads of requests to do them is they are buying all the goodwill that YOU created with your subscribers (and will lose if you sell it cheap).
