Is it just me, or does the beacon pulse last longer while airborne? I noticed when taxing in the beginning of the video, the beacons pulsed a lot like a halogen beacon. But once it took off the pulse looked slower like the LEDs. The change is most noticeable when it lands: Watch the video starting at 8:00. At 8:14 once the nosewheel touches the runway, the flash disappears faster.

This plane is a standing lesson for both Canada and U.S.: for Canada, if you overly rely on one customer and one market, sooner or later you will get screwed. For U.S.A. : if you let company get away with murder, they will murder instead of producing good, competitive products. I have zero expectation that either of these countries will take the lesson to their proverbial hearts. So let's just toast to a long and good career to A220, safe flights!

Do the controllers at CYMX not say 'cleared to land' or 'cleared for takeoff'?? Or were all the clearances just edited out? I'm pretty sure the pilots wouldn't make the movements without clearance, but some of the ATC audio included sounded very close to a clearance but without the key words. Felt odd. This aircraft looks great, can't wait until I end up on one.
@MarkBrandonAviation6 жыл бұрын
Keenan Tims YMX doesn’t have controlled airspace The ATC “clears them for take off” when terminal is ready to accept (as in “clearance is valid runway 24) It’s the same for taxi instructions. They say “confirm taxiing via Tango bravo etc..” instead of giving them directions

@abazindiaye11536 жыл бұрын
@@FahdRiyami you asking in what world ? In Boeing's first and natural market: US We are not comparing airplane types, it's about network adaptability, route and fuel efficiency. Why do you think Delta ordered this plane, and why Boeing was asking for a 300% taxe on this One !!!! Are you putting a 777 on US domestic flights ? Of course the 738 will suffer competition coz it's the most common in short haul network planning. Fuel and capacity my dear Fahad !
@FahdRiyami6 жыл бұрын
Abazi Ndiaye lol first of all, Boeing makes more money from its international customers than it does from its US ones. Secondly, Boeing's joint venture with Embraer means that they will get control over the E-Jet E2 range, which for some airlines (even in the US) are more economic aircraft than the A220 that it directly competes with. So again, no, this plane will not kill Boeings business. This market is still decades from being saturated, so there is more than enough time for Boeing to compete, be it in the US or internationally. But maybe there's no point telling you this, you sound like an Airbus fanboy 😂
