I flew Delta L-10l1s 1from FRA to Atlanta many times in the 1980s when I was in the service. It was just so nice because you could still smoke at the back of the airplane and you meet the most cool people. Thanks for your video.

A few other issues that I noticed. The 717 was not in Delta's fleet until 2013/14 or so about the time Southwest merged with Air Tran and sold/leased them to Delta. All the next Northwest birds came into the Delta fleet around 2008 right after the merger - that would include the A319, A320, A330-200, A330-300, 747-400, 757-300, DC-9-30,40 and 50. I believe that the DC-9s from Northwest continued to fly with Delta until 2011-12. the 767-300 is still flying with Delta.

its sad that the 777 retired on halloween 2020 :'( (also funny joke: it retired on halloween because the engines creeped people out)

Nice video! I'm an avgeek and was lucky enough to fly on Delta's 767-400er last year. Wow, nice plane! I also flew on their 737-900er, A321 and CRJ900. It's becoming my favorite airline because from an avgeels perspective they have operated practically EVERY Boeing & Airbus airliner. Next on my list is Delta's 717 & 757. I notice that the 707, A300 & A340 is not in your video so I'm assuming they never had them in their fleet.

Delta had 737-800 in 1999 or before. I worked several of them at CVG then.

Delta actually owned 3 Lockheed L-100s (C-130s) and leased 5 more between 1966-1973

the 757-300 was not introduced in 2002 (with Delta) that aircraft type was inherited with the merger of Northwest airlines in 2008.

Pretty good presentation. Just some facts. Douglas DC-3 thru 9. McDonnell was not in the picture that early. It would be like calling the Cv-440 a general dynamics 440.

they retired the 777-200ER and LR in 2020

A lot of this ought to be adjusted to account for the mergers with NE, WA, NW and the purchase of the PA European operations.

Why The A310-200 Retired After Just 2 Year Of Service? Is There Something Wrong With The Aircraft?
@RamakrishnanSRM3 жыл бұрын
Politics in the USA was not favorable for foreign-made aircraft. That's why Delta was forced to retire(the plane was sent to another airline).

Before doing videos like these check your facts. Common sense would have told you to visit an airline's official website, visit the headquarters or arrange an interview with past or present employees if ypu want ACCURATE informstion. This is the third video that I've watched and ALL of them have had inaccurate information. It would appear that these videos were hastily thrown together, without doing the proper research.

i can confirm Delta did not have any 717-200 in 1999 there was maybe an order, but it was probably cancelled after the merger with Boeing and McDonnell
