Delta SkyMiles Platinum vs Reserve - Is There Really Any Difference?

Nice video Daniel. I have had the Delta Platinum card for 4 years now and love how fast the Skymiles stack up. BTW the purchase protection on the Reserve is up to $10,000 per item. I'm trying to decide if I was to upgrade to the Reserve or keep the Delta Platinum and get the AMEX Platinum. I don't usually travel first class or comfort plus but I would like the lounge access. One thing that's nice about Delta Skyclubs is that it's the only lounge I know of that you can visit after landing in your destination, more free food!

No problems! The Platinum card is actually surprisingly good value.

One question i have is, if i make a payment lets say a mortgage payments and pay it of the next day. Will that get me mile or do i have to wait a period of time before making a payment?

I don't believe you need to wait to pay off the credit owing. I've had the Amex Gold and Platinum for years and make my payments quite quickly and always receive the appropriate points.

It is noteworthy that after Amex and deltas updates that only the reserve gets you into sky club and centurion. Does that move the needle at all?

Yes, there were some big changes, but they are apparently going to step back a little as they said they took it a little to far.
