The CGIAR Initiative on Asian Mega-Deltas (AMD) and Wageningen University & Research (WUR) conducted the first ever Delta Talks Live. A highlight of AMD’s Annual Meeting & Pause, Reflect and Plan Workshop in Dhaka, the Delta Talks Live featured presentations on various innovations addressing climate change and food security challenges in the AMD focus countries, such as Bangladesh, Cambodia and Vietnam. The following are the topics presented:
• Explore local understanding of climate risks and develop site-specific adaptation plans using CSMAP approach by Bui Tan Yen, IRRI Vietnam
• Agvisely: Building farming system resilience through science-based climate advisory by T.S Amjath-Babu, CIMMYT Bangladesh
• Breeding innovations on roots and tubers in saline affected areas in the deltas by CIP team
• Khmer Agriculture for the Future by Chhim Tithamatak, Impact Hub
A collaboration between AMD and WUR, Delta Talks is a webinar series focusing on the development and results of research activities in the deltas.
