So it looks like if the magnet doesn't hold to the decoy, you lose the setup.... need something to connect the decoy to the unit in case they come apart during use!

The magnet is huge. If you somehow disconnected the whole unit during use you are doing it wrong

I got mine last year end of October pulled it out this year and does not work, expensive for a disposable decoy. No doubt they work but at $150 per decoy per year, no worth it to me.

Probably a dead battery. Mine did the same thing. I guess you're supposed to unplug it in the off season.
