Deltarune chapter 2 blew chapter 1 out of the water in almost every way, the visuals, the battles are more fun and impactful, with crazier bullet patterns, the overworld exploration is cleaner, faster and smoother, the story is more interesting and in depth, giving even more cool questions, and even answering some smaller ones

Fun fact: the king fight actually changes depending on if you go full pacifist or neutral. You got the genocide ending to the fight, where Susie pacifies King, while in the pacifist route, Lancer bring THE ENTIRE DARK WORLD to thrash King to repay the lightners who were so nice to them

But uhh yeah it'll take more than a decade for toby fox to finish all of the chapters, it'll maybe be less than a decade if he build a bigger team to help him develop the game

To be fair, I consider Undertale's genocide ending and the ending of Ch2 to be a (kind of) explanation of the heart tearing out scenes. It seems like in Deltarune we're playing after a genocide "run" of UT where that world was just a deeper and more solitary manifestation of Kris's inner psyche. That's what I took away from the ending of the UT pacifist route after a genocide, and the door in Deltarune Ch2 that "doesn't look like it will open ever again." Just a thought. Also I've rarely felt more validated than 8:45 with the bit about autistic folks listening to epic music.

Actually if you do full pacifist in deltarune, the ending in the dark world is slightly different. Instead of Ralsei putting him to sleep, the townsfolk will barge in and take care of him themselves in return for your befriending them.

I love it when he stops using stupid-dialogue about the plot, and actually reads the text onscreen, but the text is so... bizarre that it sounds like he is being stupid on purpose again. E.g Lancer's bike runs out of fuel

The reason why Kris ‘chan’ rips out his soul at the end is cause YOU are his soul, controlling his every move, and he’d do anything to be freed from being controlled through every action, question, fight, and be free to do what he chooses, so he rips you out of him, but in chapter 2 it returns to him so idk maybe we’re bound to him no matter what he does?

True fact: Items and weapons are not the only things that transfur to Chapter 2. The "Thrasher" thing is reused in Rouxls Kaard's fight. Unless you created to new file, the attacks depend on the settings you added to your creation. The better the points, the barder the fight.

Nope there is a pacifist and neutral ending, it just seems not to matter in chapter two since you can't kill any of the characters. Only real choice that matters in the first chapter is if you fight or spare Jevil.

If you (or Susie) kills at least 1 enemy, Weenie Hut uses his pacify spell, but, if you disallow Susie to kill anyone, Lancer comes in with a crowd of enemies to over-throw the king, Lancer being the replacement. The Pacifist route also allows you to go back and see Lancer on the throne.
