my imagining of the inside of the bunker the roaring has just begun and the residents of hometown are scrambling to safety. the mayor sends out a public message to the town to get to the storm shelter south of town as quickly as possible. when you all get there, the doors are still locked, and all the other residents run away for safety elsewhere, but you keep trying. eventually the doors burst open and you and susie enter. when you first enter, its too dark to see anything except yourself. as you walk further down however, you find a source of light, you have finally found safety. the light is coming from a set of computer screens with symbols you cant read flashing across them. as you get closer and closer, a figure comes into view. susie asks who they are, and when they dont respond, susie begins to become more and more aggressive. eventually, the man cuts susie off mid-sentence. his voice is booming in your head. ENTRY NUMBER SEVENTEEN DARK DARKER YET DARKER THE DARKNESS KEEPS GROWING THE SHADOWS CUTTING DEEPER PHOTON READINGS NEGATIVE THIS NEXT EXPERIMENT SEEMS VERY VERY INTERESTING … the man turns around to face you, revealing a cracked and battered face. WHAT DO YOU TO THINK

I love this. It fits the old, mad scientist character archetype I imagined Gaster to be, in a way.

It feels as if the entire lore of Deltarune and undertale were planned by Gaster, it's like he knew everything was going to happen, The possibilities, The chances, *it's all connected now.*

I dont think Gaster really matters to Undertale that much. Outside of Sans (even then, the connection between them is fairly limited) and the CORE (funny geothermal powerplant) Considering all of the confirmed* gaster related content was added to the game fairly late (near the end of the pacifist route's development) its most likely UT-Gaster is purely foreshadowing for Deltarune. He may come from UT's world perhaps, but hes not that important for UT's story. *there are other rooms which are suspected to be associated with gaster like room_water_redacted but theres quite a bit of debate on it, especially since its locked behind dogcheck, otherwise inaccessible, is tied to something that was cut really early (the stable), and has a lot of misinfo surrounding it. An example of misinfo being the conception that the room intentionally links to the fun event soundtest room, which is false. Its only a consequence of where its placed as most 'special' rooms (battle rooms, shop rooms, test rooms, cutscenes) are placed at the end of the list with very few exceptions, everything after room id-270 falls under this. Room_water_redacted's exit has a entrance that puts you two rooms back which common for things such as hub areas where you can enter/exit multiple places, considering the stable event was meant to be placed in the Blook Snail farm this makes sense) and the soundtest room is id-270 while room_water_redacted is is-272.

Really like that sad and melancholic vibe you gave it. I think this interpretation has a high chance of being canon ! (Depends if you believe the valentine's writer is him or at least a part of him). Keep up the great work !!

Yeah I really wanted to focus on the potentially depressing side of Gaster with this song, so thanks!!

ramblings ahead! the vibes i get from the progression of this song is that you wanted to go for an "epic reveal" kind of thing for gaster (that's just my assumption). like something that happens gradually, and maybe even takes place in a special cutscene or something, and man, this song works great for that. also, the intro melody transitions so naturally into gaster's theme that in some way, it delays your realization that gaster's theme is even playing at all. it adds so much more to this song imo. i don't know how you pulled that off, and maybe I'm the only person who even feels this way about that section, but it's definitely my favorite thing about this whole song. also, amazing work with the strings! they were just what the song needed for the rest of it. in terms of progression, they are the obvious choice of instruments to add, and they also help cement the song's significance very well. I'm just a really big fan of what you made here lmao. keep on working on cool music like that please! I'm def looking forward for more of the stuff you'll make after i listened to this

THE CORE AWAITS YOU In all seriousness, this is one of those songs that feels like it fits perfectly into Deltarune, so of course it's a great song Edit: Don't you hate it when a good comment suddenly has a "wOw tHaNkS fOr ThE LiKeS" type of edit that ruins the comment entirely? Because I do, so instead of doing that, I'm going to change the "ENTRY NUMBER" to whatever the next person who likes my comment wants it to be (The only exception is 17, since it's already used by Gaster) Edit 2: Turned the 70 into a 99 as requested by @GradeAGames Edit 3: Turned the 99 into a 43 as requested by @destdehat
