If you’re doing a pacifist run, I’d definitely go for either Gandalf the Grey or The Rock because they have good loophole strats. For genocide, I’d go for Every Single Power Ranger or Benito Mussolini since they’re both well known for clearing people quickly. For a general run, go for Monty Python and the Holy Grail’s Black Knight because of his enormously high defense and attack (he can literally lose an arm and still fight well).

If I'm going for an all achievements run ima go with kirk and spock. While they are a bit lacking on raw damage output, The tricorder ability more than makes up for it by allowing you to see all the enemies in an area. Hella overpowered and probably should be nerfed. You may be wondering why I included capitan kirk when he has a sub par strength Stat, rather than going with darth Vader or the rock, who can balance out stock's low damage Stat. This is because of the "beam up" ability. Which takes two extra turns for spock to use it on a party member. But with both kirk and spock I can remove my party from any encounter instantaneously. And it gets better. Using "beam up" outside of combat HEALS YOUR ENTIRE PARTY TO FULL HEALTH. It's probably not even worth mentioning that "beam up" also quicksaves on the spot. Or Kirk's high persuasion ability allowing for a large number of encounters to be ended non-violently. Saving what would be precious stamina if "BEAM UP" DIDNT REFILL YOU STAMINA TOO! I could go on for ages on how overpowered this combo is but I'm running out of time.

I also forgot to mention that subduing enemies with spock's "Vulcan nevk pinch" ability dosent even ruin pacifist runs because it is a non lethal move

For a glitchless speedrun, I still feel like Monty Python and the Holy Grail’s Black Knight is your best bet.

Y'know, I'd argue you could use Jambi or Mr. Rodgers for the pacifist runs. Both are great at healing, but Jambi is still hard to find, and Mr. Rodgers can sometimes cause the opponent to not even approach due to his sheer friendliness. Even with these factors, Jambi and Rodgers are great for the Pacifist Run.

My favorite part of Deltarune: Chapter 1 is when a human, a monster, a prince of Darkness, Gandalf the Grey, Gandalf the White, Monty Python and the Holy Grail's Black Knight, Benito Mussolini, the Blue Meanie, Cowboy Curtis, Jambi the Genie, Robocop, the Terminator, Captain Kirk, Darth Vader. Lo-pan, Superman, every single Power Ranger, Bill S. Preston, Theodore Logan, Spock, The Rock, Doc Ock, and Hulk Hogan all appeared to help seal the fountian and defeat The Roaring.
