I know im late but they have a pretty decent heal ability that costs stam which if youre not hybrid is great for either dps or healer self heals!

so this patch with the hybrid changes a mag dk can effectively do everything we used DK tanks for previously(using stagger in MagDk rotation especially on a Zen DK is really ez and doesnt sacrifice much DPS) and since the MagDK is pretty much the top DPS class you'll more then likely have more then one which means they can cover all the buffs. and with turning tide making necro ult less of a necessity in groups the sorc tank will actually provide more utility especially with them being one of the few tank classes that can use EC properly since they made enchants unable to proc EC. I am not a huge fan of the Sorc tank as I feel like it doesnt run as smoothly as the DK tank but basically all the DK has going for it this patch is it is still one of the easier classes to sustain on, but I would say this patch all tanks besides maybe nightblade are on a fairly equal playing field and can be run just depending on what classes you have in group IE if you have no Templars youd want a Templar MT or OT. and same with sorc and possibly warden as well Etc!

Dark Elf or High Elf. Dark Elf great damage but lacks sustain.

Core combat abilities are stuff like dodge and break free. Non core means skills I think

I just use the move that gives HP and Mag for Stam and I have perm sustain with my DPS/Tank Mag Sorc : D

Be careful! Some parts of this guide were not tested before. Magicka sorc dps do not have good sustain, in fact it's the hardest class to sustain with your main ressource. And with the recommended tank build the Encratis monster set can't be procced since weapon enchantments don't do that anymore and there's no other fire damage in the build.

I really hope they do something to make sorcs get better mag sustain. I mean it's a sorcerer, that screams magic usage. You'd think they'd be proficient at keeping that up more than a knight lmao. I personally have to use energy overload a ton on single target fights while I'm waiting to reuse my magicka pots :(

Yes, everyone uses dual wield in "end game PvE" this video is for the beginner player that doesn't have trials gear. You mistake that I'm taking about parsing and top tier DPS loadouts.

I play a PvP mag sorcerer. And sadly now it’s so hard to play that i have to find myself playing other class toons. My shields won’t go off. And without shields I get bursted extremely fast. I hit my healing ward, then nothing, I hit my hardened ward. Still nothing. I hit my dampen magic nothing. Then I have a resource dump and die. As if all the three abilities cast instantly taking all the resources. So I can only face tank all incoming damage. Then die. My power overload sometimes glitches. Where I have to cast it off then on again. Because I can’t do any light attacks. I hit streak. And I see the animation of lightning yet I do not move. Sometimes I hit it four or more times and I don’t even get the animation. It just does nothing. I use to think it was a case of being attacked by someone using a lag generator or expiate. So I’m asking what could it be? How can I fix these problems?
