The only man that managed to update psychoanalysis with neuroscience is Mark Solms. He had created neuropsychoanalysis in order to maintain credibility and to keep psychoanalysis up to date with the current scientific research.

I've been asking how is change possible within an already established framework. I definitely agree with them in regards to slowing down. I had an experienced while running at night. I noticed something in front of me and my body completely stopped me until I was able to identify the object. While in the flight or fight response My body slowed down almost to the point of freezing adjusting my eyes until the object in front of me was clear. The actual slowing down allowed me to choose whether I was afraid or not. After that I started to get serious about meditation and I'm seriously considering tail chi. I would like to be consciously calm (mindful) at all times. I think it allows a space between stimulus and respond and just maybe I can break free of incoherence. However, is hard work because my insights do not amount to imidiate change and every new choice can potentially lock me in within another frame of mind that I might want to change in the future. lol

Why one type of therapy doesn't work for everybody? Therapy brings the problem in light and then the patient can work on it. Many times there is more than one reason to "react wrong". Everything must be lighted. The patient who have only one bad experience in the past is much easier to heal. This is the reason why some therapy works for one, but other one won't get help from it. Could this be true? One kid gets bited by dog, his grandmother tell about other biting dog and this kid sees a biting dog in the movie.. Everything is real for this kid's subconcious mind.. Things are easy many times.. It was only needed that Einstein told the world that a photon has a mass. Think, a particle has a mass! Things are easy, please don't overthink. Mother nature has no calculator or powerfull computer. Scientists has a big problem, they wanted to be known for inventing some complicated thing. Something to think: why we need geniuises to tell the easiest things for us to understand? Over and over again.
