What a twist! And you'd think that they'd fix that by now. There's gotta be something wrong with the barrel and connector joint. The glue is high strength, the connection geometry is strong, unlike the old Easton Makos or the Louisville Xenos. The only thing i could think of is the barrel profile causing a weak joint. Unless their gluing process is super inconsistent. I've personality never seen one break but i hear about it all the time

Ive had it happen and seen it happen by I’ve also had the good with no issues the durability is so hit or miss and I think it has something to do with the connection piece. Was built in such a way where it keep the feel stiff and isolated but adversely sometimes making it less durable

One of your best, most informative videos. You clearly explained the difference in the bats and why one bat might be better for a particular type of hitter, which is the most important criteria. Single piece bats are always going to be more durable but you have to weigh the pros and cons of each bat before laying out the $.

I used both of these bats all fall and it was a toss up between them for me. The goods definitely has a little more barrel and creates good loft when you make solid contact, but the voodoo is sooo nice and my quality of contact was better with it and I actually hit one of my farthest balls as well. Really can’t tell you which one I would pick over the other because their so good. Good thing I have both😎

While I do agree that it broke on the flip (kids, don't throw an expensive bat around on concrete) it should not break on bat flips. It was probably going to break on the next swing anyway. That being said, it did beat the Voodoo One. It performed better in the exit velo testing.

Here is a question for the baseball bat community. My son hits with a Voodoo One and loves it. The plastic end cap has cracked over time and is essentially gone now. Still, the bat has a ton of pop without that little plastic design on the end. What is the big deal swinging it without that plastic at the end? Seems it was more decorative than anything.
