Since this video was posted, we've had a couple people tell us that apparently "tampering with the bat (i.e. attempting to fix/repair) will likely void the warranty." So only try to do this with a bat that is no longer eligible for warranty.

This just happened to my 2020 KP23 ASA model in the middle of game play. No bat flips on singles. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Out of warranty so my boy epoxy the connection bat and it's holding. I haven't game it though.

It happened to my team mate 4 times over the course of 2 years. The main way it broke was from others putting a donut on it and trying to hit it off.

I had an Easton surge that started separating only a couple months after purchase, and for some reason Easton refused to replace it. So to not let it go to waste, once a week I would have to gorilla glue it back together, and it totally worked just like the video shows.

We have fixed over 20 of these this year. We go in through the end cap to give it a more secure fix with urethane.

The only way you can put urethane on that handle is by cutting out the ring in the barrel. So you are making illegal bats by getting rid if the ring inside that you cannot replace.

I think that if you guys hung it from a vertical bat rack after glue, pull, and twist, (and followed the directions for the timing gorilla glue)... then there was a very good possibility that the bat would have been fixed. But then again, content for your boys (and girls).

Yes it will JB weld. Super glue is a epoxy glue not a elastomer resin like urethane which means it will dry brittle so vibration will break the JB weld apart over time

Any word on how long the repair lasted? And 2 comments. 1) I would suggest a glue called Liquid Nails for more strength. U can get it from Home Depot. 2) my softball team has had this happen 3-4 times in the last year with the Demarini STL-22. :/ I’m pretty sure we’ve gone thru all the warranty so I will be trying this.
