My mother had dementia, very forgetful but never lost her sense of herself. When her eyes/brain changed a shadow or something flapping on the clothes line she always changed it into something fairly pleasant, never frightening.

I so enjoyed your presentation on the three types of dementia. I've personally gotten a diagnosis of dementia but only had an MRI of the brain and daily problems. Now I am going to suggest a Neuro psychologist and hope this will clear up some of the questions in my mind. Your broadcast is always informational.

I have been watching these videos each week and this one really spoke to me. I’m forwarding it to my father. I would like a video on how to be supportive to both my mother and father as a caregiver.

My GP said there was nothing to worry about when I told her I had severe SVD, because I was acting perfectly normal. She'd never met me before.

You are so right, my LO was diagnosed with PD in 2019, but continued to decline. Now, after several different doctors he was diagnosed with LBD, everything makes so much more sense. My heart is broken because we lost 4 yrs, his SPECT PET Scan is showing severe in 2 lobes. 💔

Thank you,. That was very helpful, especially how the brain fills in the missing parts e.g. can't see handbag = you've stolen it.

I went through that phase and started hiding various items to make sure they are not stolen. Finally I realized it was only in my brain. Makes life easier knowing I can't remember what I did with these things

My BFF and I are 77 & showing signs of mild dementia. I was diagnosed by a local neuropsychologist. My DH is so supportive & helpful so I feel well taken care of. But my friend's partner passed away, he would have been so supportive too but it wasn't meant to be. What can I do to help her get the care she needs. She's not accepted this possibility yet & hasn't been tested. I"m sharing your videos with her.

I had been seeing a neurologist for 3 years because of cognition and memory. Now I'm in Tennessee and I have a NP. I've been referred to a neurologist and can be seen in Sept. I have small blood vessel disease with signs of TIA. Now I tremble and fall down alot. What can I do for myself?

High dose steroids for suspected giant cell arteritis improved cognition and speech deficits immensely. These have returned since steroids were discontinued. Still waiting to see a neurologist to get some answers (uk, NHS)

A friend of mine was recently told she has dementia, and there were specific blood tests done that were supposed to show specific markers or results that go along with the dementia diagnosis. can you elaborate on what these blood tests might have been and what they were looking for ? thx
