@@DemeRossLiss Thanks for posting the video! After seeing this & the movie "Fisherman's Friends," I'd really like to visit this area/town one of these days . . . .

@@michaelbrand8279 Don’t blame you! I visit Port Isaac a couple of times a year, plus go to FF gigs wherever they may be 🎶♥️🐠

@@DemeRossLiss Unfortunately, I live FAR away from there in SW Louisiana (U.S.A.). So, for the moment, I guess that I'll just have to content myself with the CD of the movie's soundtrack that I just received in the mail (which has all of my favorite sea shanties performed by the FFs).

Who's the guy between Billy and Lefty? Why did Billy leave?
@DemeRossLiss3 жыл бұрын
Pete Hicks. He was a FF in the film, and joined the group in March 2019. Billy had retired from touring, so was lovely to see him play at the Shanty Festival.

@@DemeRossLiss thanks a lot. I haven't seen the film yet. It seemed like being called Jo(h)n was almost a prerequisite!

@@victoriafalls204 True! When John Brown couldn't do a tour they got a Longest Johns, called Jon(athan), to join them instead. Lost count of the times I’ve watched the film 😆

@@DemeRossLiss I don't listen to music very often, and I'd never heard of this genre before. I don't know why, but it's captivated me! All my ancestry is Celtic, and I know the Cornish are also Celtic - maybe that's the connection.

@@victoriafalls204, great that you’ve found this genre now. You’ll see from the amount of shanty videos I’ve uploaded that I’m a fan 🎶🐠⚓️
