Dungeon boss Demi-Human Swordmaster Onze can be found inside a cave dungeon in Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. He wields a very fast short katana with devastating frost-bleed affinity. ---- #eldenring #eldenringgameplay #bossfight

@@thepainphantom I want his weapon darn it! I want to take it and fight Malenia to dish out some cold revenge with his crazy cold dome of slashes attack!

@@cornthdl It's in Volcano Manor from a dark creepy underground hidden path, dropped by a Bloodhound Knight. Be careful he's fast and punishing. It's good for Malenia too, bleed are great for flesh.

What shield are you running here/any reason why you didn’t go with golden parry? I’m currently trying to parry only this bugger, so any tips would be appreciated! Also sickkkk fight, very clean!

Thanks, I had a lot of practice! In this video I used the Albinauric Shield (you can farm it near the Raya Academy, but FYI its dropping chance is low). Another medium good shield to block and parry is the golden Brass Shield (base game), Messmer's Soldier Shield (DLC, good fire resistance), etc. Different enemies have different animations (timing window) to parry. Katanas have a unique tricky delay. It's very fast dropping, but it also has a short delay before lunging forward. You will notice it after getting hit by them many times. The universal cue is always their hands: when it starts swinging forward at us. Oh, Carian Retaliation and Golden Parry has the same amount of frames to parry. The only difference is that Golden Parry can 'hit' further distance BUT it consumes FP. It's still a good parry AOW tho. But personally I only use the Golden Parry when the enemies have a WEIRD HITBOX or hectic movement/environment. To name the few: Tree & Dragon Sentinels, Messmer, Romina the Saintbud, etc.
