+Lovatic Sweetener I know this a little different, but what you just said also reminded me of Brooke Butler, the 15 year old singer. The only reason I mention that is because there's 2 so if I don't type in singer, it's going to show Brooke Butler the actress and says she's 29. But the reason it reminded me of Brooke Butler the singer is because I have a gut feeling that she probably sings whenever she gets the chance to. I've seen it a few times in Bratayley vlogs where Brooke is confident enough to sing in front of others without caring what others think, but in my opinion, I feel like most people like/enjoy it when she sings.

+Lovatic Sweetener I'm guessing you love lots of different kinds of music. :). If so and if you don't already know about her, check out Skylar Stecker where she is only 16 years old still getting out there. Her older songs are a bit more pop, but I feel like her newer songs are a tad more on the R & B side where she's still really good for her age. Check out her cover of the song Human and there was a part of a high note that she did that gave me the absolute chills and she was only 12 when covering that song and has been singing since she was 9. I know you can find National Anthem videos Skylar has done when she was younger and older.

Actually drugs barely affect your voice as much as the rest of your body, smoking does affect your voice more. I saw this on a video about Withney, Aretha or Chaka khan. Second to smoking is alcohol, which dries your voice. So as bad as drugs are compared to alcohol and smoking, for the voice they don't do much.

The Bb5 in Fall in Line is unhuman for her considering the limits of her tessitura and how much demanding is this particular climax, if she only sings the song in a lower key it would be more accessible for her to nail it. That being said, this was such a great video! it's always a pleasure to see our favourite singers talking about their own vocals and how they used to manage their own voices, even though it makes me sad that she put so much attention to her vocal renditions but she's still far away from understaing that her technique could be much better that what it actually is.

SHE'S SUCH A QUEEN! I was practicing the You Don't Do It For Me pre-chorus runs just yesterday, and they're quite challenging. I'm glad I could do them at least tho😂😂 And for the people comparing Demi's Bb5 in Fall In Line to Ariana's in Be My Baby, let me tell you that the one in Fall In Line is way harder to just nail it. I love Ariana with all my heart for real, but she hits a phrased G#5 belt which peaks at a Bb5 phrased belt, you're not actually sustaining those notes there, you're just hitting them. On the other hand, Demi's sustained Bb5 comes right after sustaining a belted A5. When you're belting that high already, you NEED proper stamina/breath support to actually SUSTAIN that note and not go flat/sharp or make your voice crack. Of course, you need somewhat of a healthy technique to hit a belted Bb5 at any means, but again, when you're actually sustaining that note, the sound must be all around open/clear, you've got to sing it using the right placement and most importantly be CONSISTENT with it through out the whole phrase so the belt comes out more effortlessly. When sustaining any tiny error that happens is a hundred times more evident than when you're just phrasing that note, at least for me.

The biggest thing that I feel like hinders her technique is she likes to stay in her chest register instead of allowing her voice to ascend into her upper register. Why does everyone think Demi is a genius now? Knowing what you want and what you're doing in your songs does not make you a genius lmao why does everyone seem amazed by that. Every pop singer should know whether they are singing pitchy notes or not... But apparently nowadays to become famous and to be considered as a good singer you just have to be mostly "in tune" and write shitty commercial music that has always the same 4 boring chords and keeps telling the same story and making half naked videos (not talking about Demi) That's not what REAL musical talent is guys.. There's so much more behind it. And Opera singers/Classical Musicians have that musical knowledge. Demi is good for the pop of nowadays but back in the 60' and 70' s she would be considered bad compared to Ella Fitzgerald or Aretha Franklin. Ps: Opera singers have to be heard in a huge opera house with hundreds of orchestral players WITHOUT a microphone. They deserve MORE RECOGNITION!
