I've struggled with depressive/suicidal tendencies and with self harm for 5 years now. December 2018 was when I decided that I would really try to stop self harming and go clean. And I am proud to say it has been a year and six months since my last cut. What helped me get through is the butterfly project, which is like instead of cutting yourself you draw butterflies instead. Another thing that helped is singing along to this song (then going on a karaoke spree afterwards xD). Whenever I feel overwhelmed and have the urge to harm myself again, I sing and cry to this song, because I feel like this song can also relate to self harm. And that really helped me a lot to fight the urges. I still have urges every now and then, but I am doing my best to not act on it and to fight them. To people struggling out there, know that you are beautiful, you are strong, and you are loved. We will all get through this. This too shall pass.

demi has most of the amazing fans. for most of my life, ive deeply empathized with drug addicts because of my family's own struggle with addiction. however, ive found that many people react to drug addicts with a lack of empathy. they act like it Is easy to become clean and that their addiction is a choice. when the truth is, addicts are suffering. they shouldn't be abandoned to "learn a lesson". they need love and support and thats what you guys have continued to give demi non stop. I love you demi and I love all of you guys

The way Demi has poured herself out in this song is just...i feel this so much! 😷 she is such an amazing person and the fact that she EVER reached this stage of depression is awful! She has been my role model since i was 5 years old.... watching her in camp rock...and sonny with a chance and princess protection program....hell she was even in an episode of Greys Anatomy! This girl is worth so much more than she thinks she is! Its just so sad that even in a room full of people she could feel so alone!! I love you so much Demi. God has a plan for all of us. I wanted to give this song a try. I thought I could see if I could just sing it and what my voice would sound like. I didn't think about what I was really singing. The lyrics hit me, with every verse. I found myself choking back tears and voice cracks. I've never been Demi's number 1 fan. I never thought bad of her either. I've never struggled with drug addiction, and singing this has made me think of it in a whole new perspective. I pray she is alright, and that she is able to get sober again, and flourish in her life. No one deserves to struggle like this. No one, not even someone who is addicted, deserves to hurt this much. #PrayForDemi
