You reacted exactly like I did. I made it through the whole album without crying...and then Demetria comes around with Good Place and I couldn't stop the tears. I was sobbing. I was so f*cking proud of her. It just took me back to the day we found out what happened and the fear and worry we as her fans felt. It was the worst thing ever. I was a mess for four hours until we finally got a statement. And if things would've turned out differently, she might not even be here right now to sing a song like "Good Place" just shattered my heart the first time I heard that song.
@artistbrindle3 жыл бұрын
I cried with that song too, something about the raw emotion of her voice and the way it was recorded
@JoseOnTheAir3 жыл бұрын
This album is a lyrical masterpiece. Tell Me You Love Me is a sonically great album too but this is so personal and tells an amazing story of growth. Also, it took so long for me to not cry during ICU because it reminded me of my little sister. This year is 4 years since we found out she had a cancerous brain tumor, which we found out because she was unconscious from alcohol. If she didn’t have those 4 Lokos, I don’t know what would’ve happened. It also made me think of how blind I was to her treatment at the time too. Luckily she’s still cancer free and easily the best person I know, and definitely making this world better. It’s crazy being an older sibling but I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

I loved the entire album, not one skip on it. It’s so rare to get a 70s style concept album these days ❤️. Hard to pick my faves, but currently they’d be: The Way You Don’t Look At Me Met Him Last Night Easy Girlfriends Are My Boyfriends Good Place Mad World 15 Minutes Dancing With The Devil The great thing about this album is that every listener and reviewer seems to have different favorites. There’s literally something for everyone
@sassugirl11513 жыл бұрын
Since you skipped Anyone. we all heard it a year ago. Watching her Documentary gives us another layer to the song since we discovered how much control she was under her finances, no phones in hotel rooms, and they would check her food delivery apps (one they had her be the face of. ) She literally begged her team for help with her eating disorder because it had gotten so bad she threw up blood but she was still sober off drugs and alcohol but completely miserable. Demi paraphrases in Episode1 I believe that they said she wasn't bad enough for help yet. I think it had something to do with her starting the TMYLM tour or in the middle of the American tour so they didn't want to cancel it because she's their meal ticket. Then it jumps into the second track her at her darkest moments. She put this album in chronological order and she told her story so beautifully I'm in awe of it. I hate that she has only known unhappiness and trauma. The Team in question are from PhilyMack entertainment/management they were in her previous documentary. Philip McIntyre is the CEO he can be seen in the car scene in the SC Doc. telling her a lot of people go through breakups after she confessed to relapsing with her binging and purging after breaking up with pedo Wilmer he was dismissive of her feelings. Another guy called himself a Sober Coach now he's a life coach that frequents Doctor Phil's show for professional advice. Demi was co owner of his rehab Cast Centers that she took on her tours. A lot of his success happened because of her, she got him that tv gig. There are other people that are complicit just not nearly as bad as these two.
