The devs don't fix things, unless they're a problem. I'm still scarred from being required to run Iron Grasp + Agitation, because Sabotage used to permanently break hooks. I break into a cold sweat thinking about Sprint Burst + Self Heal + Borrowed Time + Botany builds before exhaustion. Unless some build is completely degenerate and becomes the meta, the devs don't take action. Sorry. If Cote gets bullied live on a Korean stream, changes can be rapidly implemented.

To let you know regression over time done by ruin or kicking a gen doesn't apply to gens that are blocked. When they become unblocked the regression carries on. Only instant percentage regression applies on a blocked gen, like if you get another pain resonance within the 45 seconds of dead man's switch.

So for everyone saying ruin doesnt apply during the block period, i've got a good reason to still use ruin. Pair it with surveillance and that way if the surviviors counter the build by letting go of gens before scourge hook ruin regresses them making them white, then if they get back on them it turns yellow so you know what they did. And even if ruin gets cleansed surveillance works on regression from scourge hook.

on doctor instead of ruin use Coulrophobia. Use 2 types of add-ons to make it even more op "Calm" and "Order" you can use 2x same one or use 1 "Calm" and 1 "Order". if you see a lot of medkits and tool boxes you can use Overwhelming Presence instead of Coulrophobia + 2x "Calm".

This combo is pretty easily countered, especially by an swf. Fun as it is, I don't think it's OP, or even good on most killers. On those with easy interrupts, however? We could definitely be seeing more of it. And I'm hyped for that. The perk meta has been so stagnant, these recent changes are very exciting. Maybe we'll start seeing more perks that are actually good on some killers, but weak on others rather than just Good and Bad.

Ive found that you can just let go of the gen right before someone gets hooked. Progress is lost but you aren't forced off so you can just keep doing it ignoring dead mans. Ive seen another survivor understand this in solo.

Dead mans switch is pretty good now. I spent two hours on stream using it on legion. Sadly it limits what you can run as gen regression. You can't use pop unless you have tier 1 dead mans (which i run for consistency and prefer over ruin) or ruin if it isn't cleansed in the first 5 seconds of the match leaving you with only Eruption, Pain residence, Surge/jolt or grim embrace in a way. Ideally you need pain residence with dead mans to get them off at least one gen so you really only have two free perk slots for whatever you want if you are just gonna use pain residence as your slowdown which i don't recommend. The best combo (in my opinion) is pain residence, Dead mans, surge and the 4th can be whatever you want but i used grim embrace or BBQ. This took too long to type out.

I was showing one of my friends my builds for killers, and he asked why Dead Mans Switch was in a lot of them. So I played a couple rounds and soon he understood why it is one of my favs. Literally it pinpoints survivors while also blocking the gen. If combined with the Ghostface perk that blocks all empty gens, it is kind of OP.

I always run totem finding Perks as Survivor (when I have them) and I always do a ruin Check first chance I get so unless someone hard defends their Ruin I remove it. Once Ruin is gone they have to hope their Scourge Hooks didn't all spawn together (which happens to me a lot as Killer so not hopeful there) to get value from it. The main thing about Deadman's Switch isn't the blocking of gens, which wile annoying is workaround able, the main problem is the amount of info the Killer gets on where people are when they can force the gen block. And I'm totally fine with there being a Killer side to the "totally unplayable" shit, because Survivor has so many of them. Killer needs MORE "totally unplayable" builds so the bully squads know what it feels like. I've said it before and I'll say it again I'm not SCARD of the clicky-clicker toxic people, I just don't want to play against toxic people AT ALL and them being toxic DIRECTLY IMPACTS my gaming experience in a negative way. I don't care if they "make it easier to get a 4k", I don't care about that. I care about having fun. Just "getting a 4k" isn't fun for me, if I'm not challenged for it it isn't fun. People being toxic to me is actively not-fun as well and I can be having a fun game, with back and forth and it not sure which way it will go and then someone t-bags or clicky-clickies and my enjoyment drops out from the bottom and now it's no longer fun but a chore to get through. I am going to respectfully disagree against the idea of Killers needing more builds that are 'Totally Unplayable' against just because Survivor Bully Squads exist. It doesn't help making either side more fun. If anything, all it does is increase the amount of people who feel like they *have* to run those same perks to do well- which is already an issue in the game. Plus, I'm not sure if you've ever played against some of the old, really busted Killer builds (Like original Prayer Beads Spirit with Surveillance, original Forever Freddy, or Forever Mend Legion)- but they used to make games last ten thousand years, and there wasn't anything the other side could do about it. (Some say Survivors are still trying to mend through old Legion's Forever Mend to this day.) It doesn't make for fun or interactive for either side, and shouldn't be the type of thing we want to see more of. (I mean, we're already seeing that even being an issue currently with Killer design- that same issue is a part of the reason why reception for Pinhead and Artist were so lukewarm.)

More and more until the game utterly breaks and the devs HAVE to do something about game health and balance. Because at this point I have no faith the devs will ever actually fix the same until they absolutely have to. So bring on every single not-fun try hard build there is. Flood every single match with them. Make the game utterly unbearable for everyone, even the ones who played Alpha and just grind their teeth and slog through it. Make the game a total wreck and have over eighty percent of the player base always complaining about it. Get it to the point the devs can't ignore it. Because then it'll it'll get it fixed and we can have fun again or it'll implode and we don't ever have to play again.

A blocked Generator cannot change its progress. A regressing Generator that becomes blocked will remain in the Regressing State, but not lose any progress until it becomes unblocked.

Nah Demi you gotta use the best bubba build, Hex: Undying, Hex: Third Seal, Trail of Torment, (I use dead mans but you could also use discordence or pop) Pretty much you kick a gen with trail and be undetectable. They won't see the yellow aura because of third seal. Undying protects third seal as well as you can see survivors booning totems (can see survivors within 6 meters of non hex totem) Then if you have discordence you can sneak up on multiple survivors and down them. Also if your down to the last gen and kick it with trail. Even If you don't need the undetecable it'll show you when they get back on the gen similar to surveillence

Either you let go of the gen before the hook and let it regress a fuck ton or you do after the hook and the gen gets blocked for 45 seconds. Sure that with the with perks that increase terror radius I'd imagine make the fund maps a fucking nightmare. those large COD, or DOOM scale maps? just no way to get anyone but the most stoned fucking potato's survivors. Thought Honestly I've had more people have meltdowns from me on Pig or trapper than I had with doctor.
