I really love demkos designs. I have the ad 15 and it's a favorite in the collection. I got in on a sharks foot pre-order and can't wait to get it. I also hope to add an ad 10 this year and an ad 20 in the future. Great video 👍

Fired up about this release…..sold my MG AD-20 (just too big for my EDC, and backpacking I take a fixed)…..loved the shark lock, and can’t wait to have smaller, thinner, lighter version!

I’m a huge Demko fan and I agree that this is a bit overpriced. I’ll still get one but it should be closer to $120

I guess I'm one of those show me people and have to try things before I can form conclusions. So, I've decided to not stop thinking about this. I have two AD-20's... one in G10 and the other grivory handle. Both are fantastic. I carried a friend's AD-15 a few years back, and it was also a great knife. Sure, $150 is a lot for a knife, and on paper, the plastic and AUS 10A don't scream quality. But, I venture a guess that most users don't pound on their EDC's, even if it is M390 or Maxamet. Demko's are designed to be used for duty, and not so much pocket jewelry. I'm planning to get one of each blade shape and will reserve judgment until I have used both heavily.

Hopefully someone will test and put that steel through its paces. Keep in mind that all knife steels are subjective to the manufacturers heat treatment and grinding procedures.

The Demko brand has been `mythologised‘ into icon territory and so it should be as it’s a brand that’s so well known that surely is on most people’s wish list and or in their collection. I agree that plastic is not the preferred material and should be upscaled to something a bit more premium, but hey, you take what you can get 🙂 and trade up when newer models come up. Specs say these are right or left hand carry. Looking at thr clip design in this video, i’m doubting that. Can someone confirm my suspicions?

They are shipping with a right handed clip and a left handed clip. And, the lock and deployment are ambidextrous.

Spyderco is the king of FRN cheap plastic scales. They’re consistently charging more money for crappy materials. You should be use to it.

$150 for plastic and aus10a is a pass for me. Spyderco just did runs of Para 3 LW's in 20cv or s90v for $20 less. I would like to try that lock if they upgrade the steel on future runs though.

They should’ve done g-10. I’m fine with the steel, but I hate plastic handles. Not for $150

knife seems way overpriced. my cold steel sr1 is $150. s35vn with g-10 handles. also look at the price of spyderco manix 2. s30v and g-10 for $125 and made in usa. i really like the demko ad20.5 but the price needs to come way down. i hope he comes out with other handle and blade material. just hope it doesn’t turn into a $200 knife if that happens.

The price point with the materials used tells me that Demko didn’t order a big enough batch of these. Sold out is way too frustrating in the knife world these days! Hopefully a restock won’t be a once a year event!

Andrew implied in an Instagram post that they'll be dropping sometime during Blade Show, so somewhere around June 4-6. It's unclear for sure whether they'll drop then or if a release date will drop.
