Demo! 'AK Offroad' LED Light Upgrade for Polaris Sportsmans

Swapped out the stock halogen bulbs for these LED's and a light bar. I performed this demo in my garage because it allowed me to control the ambient lighting when testing out these new LED's (watch the video, you'll understand).
I have no affiliation with neither Polaris nor AK Offroad. I'm just a guy trying things out. :)

Yeah, I agree with you. I was a little too quick to throw out the standard halogen bulbs. I couldn’t stand how dull they were.

Is there a reason you didn’t mount it lower on the flat part of the bumper? Also do you know how many lumen the bar is?

I didn’t mount it lower because I didn’t want to block the radiator. Not sure how many lumens it is, sorry about that. Maybe they list the specs on their website.

Thanks man, those things are pretty good, do the low beams shine far? I was debating on getting the light bar but I might now.

The low beams don’t shine super far, they’re more of a flood light. But because these LED’s are brighter, it’s better than stock IMHO.

I have the same quad as yours but I can’t figure out how you mount it to the brush guard, can you tell me how to do it? Thanks

I had bought a metal clamp for light bars from Amazon. It’s round, about an inch around ( can’t recall the exact size) and wraps around the brush guard then the two ends have a hole. Bring them together with the bolt into the light. I put some black electrical tape around the brush guard first so that the metal clamp doesn’t scratch it. Excellent news! Enjoy! Break-in period is 25 hours. In that 25 hours there should be no full throttle sends, and use low as often as possible. This is per the owner’s manual. 👍

Nice video. I’ve been thinking about getting this setup from AK for my 21 Trail. I’ve seen other comments that these leds are too big or they don’t screw into the housing very well. How was the install for you?

I had no trouble, they fit very easily (similar to originals). To be picky though, one thing I would note is that the wiring for the LED bulbs is a tiny bit long so I tied it off with plastic ties.

From edge to edge, including the housing of the light bar, it's just about 9 inches wide.
