Newer models that have LED headlights are most probably using a canbus. I would highly recommend using a piggyback adaptor to get the light signal. Also, before performing any electrical work on the car disconnect the earth on the battery.

Hi , just fitted some DRL fog light surrounds from “Brute Status”. Followed the guide but only work with headlights on, any clues please ? Used a 5A piggy back connector. Thanks, Mick

no need to drill hole sir, mine is perfectly installed upon switch on the key the DRL automatically lights on

I cannot find where to buy that 5A breakout fuse you have. I can only find 10A or 15A variants. A normal fuse tap is too big to fit in that fuse box.

HOLA......can you gents shed some light on what I have just done here 🤞 SUBJECT - DRL leds mounted in new front grill....... Thought I'd cracked it by taking a 12v feed from spare fuse slot in engine bay fuse holder located by the main battery but on inserting new micro fuse that has a take off wire pre-fitted to it, the grill DRL leds power up instantly irrespective on whether ignition is on or off..... I watched your KZbin video of you guys fitting the drl replacement foglamps to your truck and and used the same spare micro fuse spot as you guys as a power feed for the grill drls 🤔 ......Have pulled the new micro fuse for time being until i find a solution to power the drl leds only when ignition on / main headlamp drls are on TIA for any guidance or advice anyone can offer... Can send you Photos of current settup no probs.... Cheers

There may be some outputs that are ignition live only - you need to do a test of other locations.

Guys I fitted my kit yesterday. Slightly different as i have a green cable. I fitted red in the fuse board like yours on a fuse. The black to the battery earth and the green to the headlight cable (blue). Ahain my headlight is slightly different tho. It's a 2017 tekna. The drl wont turn off tho. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi sorry to hear you are having problems. Does the DRL stay on even when the car is locked .... or is the probkem the DRL stay on when the lights are turned on ?

@@harrisonblyth4671 did you sort this out? I believe it's on the constant 12v supply and we need the ignition 12v supply buy cannot find the accessory box you wire up to for things like this

Sorry my set came with black , red and white wires. I just substituted my white wire for your yellow one 🤷
