If you don't have A & B speaker outs, or like me, if A+B mode wont work this way, then simply run 2 sets of wires from your speaker outs. You can just twist the ends together and fit them both into the speaker outputs as usual. You also don't need or want thick wires running to the sub, as the sub only receives a trickle of power, and making it easier to fit both wires into a single output. Only use a powered sub's high level outputs for daisy chaining multiple and identical subs together, and never back to your speakers.

What if you don't have A and B? All I have are center, lft, rt, and two backs.

The speaker wires you hooked up to the receiver were they from your regular speakers or did you just hook up the powered sub and no main speakers

That demonstration was just for hooking up the power subwoofer if you have A and a B switch on your receiver you can use the A for your main and the B you can use it for your subwoofer
