When he played the blues, it was HILARIOUS!! He started slow and regular, looked bored and then killed the set!!

It's a matter of preference to some extent, but I personally think that the v-drums sound more realistic. It is also down to how you play them. Check out Martin Rockport on Td-9 for example.

Yeah, I was literally going to buy the Roland but I've seen too much about this kit... it sounds just as good, if not better, and has the Yamaha maple kit! And for half the cost... it's a no-brainer for me.

@JCFreak1121 Traditional is proper drum posture. Match grip is fine, but everyone has their own preferences.

I'm in dire need of a new kit..I love my yamaha,be happier then a pig in slop if I had the yamaha dtxtreme special 3..but the Roland td-20..jeez that would be sweet to..I guess the $1500 difference is the issue

Umm, hate to bear bad news, but its more like 1500. You can get the standard for 999. Or you can get the DTXplorer for 699.

@toujames I got the dtxtreme iii for $1,500 brand new, people now that the dtxtreme was disc, u can nab it for a steal deal through music sites. Its better than any roland kit out there around that price range, looks better, and sounds better...

Very good technique and drumming. And it proves an electronic drumkit like the DTX sounds like crap even with a great drummer.

I like what he does in the "blues" area. Just play around with it. Something I like to do in a song like that. Of course if I did the stuff he just did, I would just get fired.

I think Roland's snare drums sound better than Yammies. Just hear the snare in the first part! it sounds like the little pink rabbit of Duracell! haha. Also watch the video called Roland TD-3 Kit 1 and compare sounds! the difference is HUGE!

the kits need reverb, just a thud with nothing..other than that they sound good
