trust me you miss an acoustic afterwards, I started playing on an acoustic, when I was intermediate I got a beginner electric, still got it and now I'm more advanced I miss the acoustic - sweet Zildjian crashes :(

i think when you where playing the jazz you should of been a bit more light with your rolls. also there should of been some more off beats. Just some tips as a drummer. :)

@sittttam Your english is great bud I understand you! There is a difference in feeling - but your stick does "bounce" or jump on the drums. You can do paradiddles and drum roles no problem on the drums :)

@GamingReviewsLive I do agree that the Roland kits perform better but theyre just so expensive! Im sure for a lot of people they cant really afford to drop the thousands of dollars that Rolands cost...If you have AIM or Skype you should message me your username, because I actually have a couple questions about this kit.

i know it can be moved, but i find it curious that the "default" position on all the clips i've watched of these yamaha kits have the ride in the center position. not a big deal, obviously, since it can be repositioned (as i've done with my tdxpress3 special). just an observation.

How is he a troll? Some kits may sound better or worse than others, but they're not going to be any easier or harder to play...it's the same for any instrument. What are you expecting? A guitar hero drum set?

No matter how advanced the technology gets, the sounds seem as fake as they did in the 1980's Casio Keyboards. Sure, the trigger pads have improved a lot but you would think they could use better samples.

@k9monkey1 u shud be able to because it is the thing the kick hits to make the noise and thats wats plugged in. Maybe u might need to get a bigger part im not sure

Thank but that wasn't the problem. The jack plug that goes in the module was messed up. I fixed it though and it works fine :)

A lot of people are asking how much.... As of this post the I/O alone is $450 US. Yeah, this is a 1k kit. Personally, that is what I am looking at, the I/O boxes. I record on PC. (Guitarist) Looking to build my own triggers. Yamaha is always up on prices. I would say check some Alesis gear if you aren't full on pro. If you are full on pro.... You aren't watching this. :P The Alesis kits sound just as good, imo from this vid. An Alesis I/O box.... $150 US. Not to mention you can get a 5 piece kit for less than the Yama DTX I/O box alone.

This is the special - the Special gives you the realistic hi-hat, the extra crash and I *THINK* an upgraded snare...not too sure on that one!

Yamaha kits are extremely nice! This is one of the entry level kits even though still quite pricy! I love my electronic kit to death! I own the Yamaha DTX562K, one of the greatest investments I've ever made!!

You got skills man. Kinda stuck to one style though. Fast and flashy. Which isn't bad and your good at it, but it's always nice to see a variety. Like using some of the sounds for their specific style. Like the orchestra style stuff and some of the others. Keep up the drummi g though
